Viberg

@Dirty:
^^
Those are BEAUTIFUL!Yes they are and the color is so rich looking..engineers are growing on me. I was never a big fan but now I find myself searching for them in my online excursions.
translation: you will have a pair or two within one month

The Viberg Blog is seriously dangerous. :o
I really like the deconstructed boots they do, and this time it's a pair of Riggers with a bit of wear.
-
Just to reiterate.
Once the current load of custom Vibergs are delivered to me, I will be doing another "Yep, I need some. Sign me up" call for orders.
I will be majoring on Service Boots next time, but as I am cheap, I'll probably say yes to anything…....
I like easy dates I think I'm going to have to run this idea by you Gilesy -
this…
or this:
-
Astrogoji, I think that the brown engineer boot you posted has the deconstructed toe that I'm particularly fond of. Superdenim have a 1950 Service Boot in that style. I think that Viberg take out the stiffening and other structure out of the boot, making it a lot softer.
I suspect that there might be a run on Merlot Engineers too…
I'm thinking about a pair of Hikers, probably a hybrid of the Four Horsemen City Hiker and the Chucs build with the square toe. So a deconstructed boot, without the insulation and fibreglass toebox, and with the completely ludicrous Portland sole.
Not sure about leather. The wax flesh is probably my favourite, but they look good in the Merlot too.
-
Anyone ever deal with the online site ushowu? They are out of the Netherlands and have a pair of service boots I want. Are they reputable ? Here's the link to the pair they have for sale. http://www.ushowu.com/viberg-vintage-service-boot-rough-out
-
Sometimes I think ur a troll but then I remember ur just nerk da gerk or Nerkg
-
I know I'm just playing around…I like the boot either way but am not sure on the color. I'm in attack mode right now with buying a pair and these have been the best iv seen in comparison to the pair that was listed on sufu awhile back
-
I kinda like them. Never heard of the company, though. If you can wait, it might be easier to hold out for Giles and the group order in January. Probably can do some customization on those and get a pair more exactly to your liking…
-
I Got their website off the Viberg site. As for waiting I think u are right because i find myself settling for whatever I find just because I want them fast. I was ready to buy the brown pair on super denim which I actually like a lot but they sold out literally a day after I was ready to commit.
-
I like them but if I were to drop coin on some Vibergs I would not get a toe cap. Looks a bit off to me for some reason. Other than that I think they are good.
-
Dirty, I'm ordering the Nick Horween "boondocker" off of Styleforum straight throug VB. Check it out, I think you'll dig it.

love the deconstructed toe on just about everything viberg puts out. really like the waxed flesh and it got me thinking how many other "secret" leathers there are in the viberg vault. if I'm not mistaken they primarily use two tanneries: the legendary horween and seidel tannery. Seidel seems to have some unusual offerings like the "aged bark" and "harness brown" as well as the more basic black oil tan and brown oil tan colors.
I've only seen one square toed viberg hiker before, are these the ones you mean?

anyone owns the 1950 service boot and can shed some light on it? they look mad rad

And scroll down a few posts for the spec. I will be doing a "call for custom orders" early in the New Year….
