Viberg

Looking over the viberg blog, I am really lusting for a pair of the service boots. Looks like I might be able to pull them off in the workplace in some fashion.
-
Viberg say they have much trouble with consistently sourcing cordovan leather, so those are always limited, this is my favourite btw., described as walnut cordovan on the blog:

Yeah, Horween in Chicago is the pimp of cordovan and I think they have cornered the market. They supply much of their cordo to Alden. Love their ravello, whiskey and cigar colours in cordo, but they are super limited (read expensive).

Looks good. Apparently it sold out super quick. I am hoping to do one in a roughout, but we will see once G states he is ready for more orders.
That's what I ordered Thomas, natural roughout

so you guys out there make me fuzzy with all this Viberg crazyness lately going on…
so may I present you my new sheep under the wolves fur and new companion to my engineer, here we go
I love the understated roughness of this service boot and the deepness of the merlot color.
my usual US size is 8.5
David, this the most beautiful boot I saw in my entire life. Pretty dramatic. Bought at VMC?

Nice, then hopefully I will get to see some pics before making a final decision!

Hi J thank u. oh yeah man this is another level, i mean i have the engineer which is outta this world. From the laced ones this is actually my current love and almost daily wear until my engineer is back from resole. The comfort in this 50's is outstanding, i preferred without toe cap as i had surgery on my left foot last year. But the shoes mold perfectly to my feet, incredible. Worth every penny.
Yep from VMC -
FH wow what a beauty, those look so elegant yet so stubborn
Hope to own a pair one day
The day will come

Thomas i wear my 50's merlot smooth in the office, comfortable and extremely versatile. when walking the dog they turn into a rough beast

Nice, we are the same size, so if you ever get tired of them, send them my way

I will be offering the service boot in Horse when I get around to announcing the next batch of orders. But to quote Brett - "It is fucking expensive".
Viberg have stopped doing one-offs for retailers, so I will have to order at least 4 per style/colour. That means one of two things:
- I need a shit load of orders
- I have to limit the customisation
-
hahaha Alex, I am such a fekker and I love to fkc with them all the time LOL
I am so lucky I own one of these guys. Believe me the horse is completely on a whole different level, both the Viberg engineer and FlatHead horsehide workboot have an extreme presence on your foot you wont miss once you wear em. As my engineer is based on the low toe pattern it was hard at the beginning to get this thing soft but now they are one of my best fitting and comfortable shoes.
I believe the service boot in horsehide will be great. unfortunately I had no luck to grab one of these when they came out at VMC 25year anni, was too slow. This will be another (maybe one of the last) great chance to get a boot like that.
And yes horsehide is expensive but it is something for life and imho not just a shoe. those who own horsehide boots know what I try to explain. I mean pretty much all of viberg are outstanding imho doesnt matter if calf or horse.
G good luck, I remember the conversation with Roger explaining to me how hard the production of his jubilee horsehide edition was.
thx.

Doing my best to get a date out of them. Blood and stone springs to mind…..
Haha, I have deliberately kept silent to avoid more grumbles from G!

Oh, trust me, I know G would have a date if he could, we all know how Viberg works…
