Random Rants

No curls in the squat rack. Ever.
-
You trying to get some squats in and some dumbass is standing in the rack doing curls?
Gym etiquette drives me crazy and I think it's personal trainers who are the worst. There's a massive trainer at my gym who's constantly in the way.
-
I do curls in the squat rack. I never wipe my sweat off equipment, either. I like to just drop plates in random spots, too. Re-racking weights is for OCD losers.
-
I actually clean up the dumb bell racks between sets. Can't stand it when the 25s are next to the 35s.

Having a gym in my home (well, it's a giant rubber mat and a bunch of kettlebells) is the best investment in time and money I've spent in awhile.
Pet peeves: the guy who screams while doing 225lbs on the bench press (it's not that heavy, dude), the guy who never wipes down, the middle aged housewife that doesn't understand "working in" (the rules of the gym are right there on the wall), the guy who uses chalk, the little kids running around, and the jackass that throws dumbbells. There was even a guy who used to walk around the gym with a small boombox and carried it like a pie
Oh, and the guy who walks around offering unsolicited advice on your form. Although that's easily remedied if you don't mind being rude
-
Doug, dude- you should have said something to me. How was I supposed to know the back hair bothered you?
-
Guys who use gyms, then moan about it
-
Yeh, they should use a gym.

Yes. Some people just do not know.
the guy who uses chalk
Agree with all except this. Chalk is necessary for heavy deadlifts, snatches, and cleans. I don't like straps and I clean up after myself.

My all time pet peeve…If you want my help, get off your damn phone, don't leave it up to your ear and just pretend you're not talking, hang the bitch up!
Apparently I was rude to a customer who was on the phone as she was trying to ship out a package. She emails my boss telling him I ignored her but did admit "I had the phone up to my ear but wasn't talking on it"
No damn difference to me, and I told him that. He agreed but made me email and apologize to her anyways.

No, this was at the customer center. I just happened to be there at the time. I previously worked at the UPS store so I have retail experience so if they need help, they send me over to the customer center if I'm slow. We have freakin signs all over the doors "no cell phones" but people don't pay attention

A friend recently moved back to the UK from Germany after eighteen years away. He was singing the praises of Cadbury's chocolate. Or at least the vague approximation to chocolate that they peddle.
I need to educate him in proper Belgian chocolates. I've already pointed him in the direction of the Leonidas shop in his home town, but he's not listening.

my heart goes out to the families of a shooting that happened this morning in Connecticut.

Absolutely, I cannot fathom what manner of humanity could do something like that.
