Wait until that train driven onto the plane, for trains containing cars…...... madness I tell thee
-
What? is that a train for vehicles? I've never seen that before.
Yes. For some reasons I can't fathom. It was decided that when they built the tunnel, it would not be for driving through. You have to drive onto a train and sit like a stuffed parrot for 40 minutes or so. I am sure there are longer tunnels in the world that one can drive through. The infrastructure on the Channel Tunnel is immense, mainly because of the bloody trains….
-
Yep, they really screwed the pooch on that one (I love that phrase :-*)
-
Are there bathrooms at all on those trains? or snack stations? Also, if one were to leave their car running, wouldn't that be dangerous? :o
-
We went over to Belgium earlier in the year and I was amazed by the train as well, it's pretty cool for the uninitiated. I guess it cuts down on major delays by avoiding car crashes, might be their reasoning?
Have a good trip!deadendpro; there's bathrooms that you can get to at the end of each carriage, and cars must be turned off for the trip.

I thought it was to stop the driving on the wrong side of the road confusion. I often (sometimes) dream about arranging an 'every body all out, now on 3, you go left, I go right, we criss-cross and hey, we're now on the other side of the road'.

Follow the smell of raw bacon.

Not if you're from the UK, Stella is not even a choice…..ever. I would rather drink just about anything other than Stella.
-
Says a man who I would bet has never had "Brewed in the UK, under license" Stella before :o
Basically, I can never recall trying Orvall, so either I haven't, or it didn't make an impression on me at all. UK brewed Stella is basically battery acid, over here it's nick name is "wife beater", as it is the chosen drink of the mono brain celled beings who inhabit our town and city centres. It (along with Carling and Fosters) is the beer choice of the hooligan, the uneducated, and criminally insane. It is piss.
