White's Boots
-
I'm loving the natural cxl too…...may get a make up in 100% that......
Such an interesting leather. I wish there was an even lighter version. I guess it depends on each hide though.
Beautiful. And basically exactly what I'm planning for my next pair. Great minds and all that
You will not be let down. Order from Kyle at Bakers. He even got 3 different leathers through for me. You can barely tell from pics but the heel is Black Smooth. I figured it would be better to have a harder wearing leather on the heel compared to the Black CXL Toe Vamp.
There's a couple pair in Natural at Little Joe's I'll take pictures of for you guys next time I'm up there.
Please let me know when you go. If they have what I want in my size, I may need a favor…

^^
No worries, dude, I got you! -
I'd skip the false tongue, personally. Never liked them, nor have I ever understood the purpose of them.
EDIT: Great boots otherwise, and I'll chime in with my love of the natural CXL, too.
-
glad you got the 3 leathers past them. Having CXL on the heel is one of the only regrets with my build, as it gets banged up pretty bad. That natty CXL ages great, it'll be brownish before you know it.
-
They look a lot better than I thought they would, and that natural CXL is quite stunning, I imagine it'll develop so much character. It's got me wondering how it would look on a build the same as G's two-tone SJ's, where it would be used instead of the distressed smooth…...or just a two-tone combo with brown dress.
My wish list for White's boots grows ever longer...

Look awesome shane i want a pair even more now. I also (wagonjumper) really like the nat cxl dude …...and I would say no false tongue on those ones

Sole Trim: Close Trim
.
I think they forgot to give the boots the close trim? They look the same as all my White's. I thought there should be only one row of stitching. Beautiful boots regardless -

close trim vs standard.

@tmg:
It might just be the resolution on my iPhone, but I can't see the difference?
It's only a few millimeters and one of the seams which is half hidden anyway is gone in the left one. It does make a difference for the overall impression of width however.

These are my favorites from the thread. Awesome. I normally don't like the false tongue, but with this configuration it's perfect.
I was thinking of doing the same as this except for brown semi dress where you have the black.
Do you have any pics of them on?
