Iron Heart Restocks & Arrivals

Giles hasn't restocked the 55's since Will's original run, it's a shame, I have a few vintage denim collector mates who all agree the 55 to be the classic; the most comfortable and flattering cut of them all. They sold out fast when they came in, which I knew they would. They are my go to jeans. So much so I loathe wearing anything else. The 25 oz 55's probably wouldn't sell as fast but they would all clean house sooner or later. What I would like to know is why there has never been a restock?

Well, they were a collab with Aero and they never wanted to do a re-run. Now Aero is no longer interested in a relationship with Iron Heart, I am free to re-run them - with a redesigned patch. Van Olzen has designed the patch for me, now I just need to decide when is the best time to run them. Only one of my retailers has expressed any interest is stocking them (which is I take as an indication of overall popularity). They'll probably be run, but not for a while.

The thing with the 1955s cut is IMO, that those who look for vintage styles and cuts are not necessarily into IH, which is far from being a repro brand. Regarding the original denim used, the use of a 21oz is already untypical enough. Not sure if those kind of people would show interest in 25 oz.
I see many rockabilly guys wearing vintage (55-like) cuts of cheap brands and those also advertise heavy denim, but these clients would not look for 400+$ jeans. So I also think, that the 25 oz 1955s would sell very slowly or even poorly, as they lack a real peergroup. (Not saying, that some around us here wouldn't buy, but flying off the shelves they wouldn't).
After all, many denim fans consider the 44, 47 or 66 pattern at least as much a classic as the 1955. Just saying.
