Very tough. You can tell it's quality by its weight and how supple it is. It's also evident that it was thoroughly tanned as it's black all the way through. Not white or grey in the middle like some lesser quality leathers. I actually like it better than the brown leather that my Jobmasters are made with.

Pulled the trigger on a pair of black harness boots. I made a big gamble because I didnt try a pair on before. They will be my winter riding boots as I'm tired of ruining my nice cowboy boots during the wet and damp months in Paris, ie about 8 months a year… I hesitated a long time between those and Chippewas, but the Wescos look even sturdier.

Those black Boss boots pictured above were my go to boot when walking around Paris. I actually brought walking shoes with me on that trip, but they couldn't keep up with the 7-8 miles a day we were walking. I had to switch to my wescos. They've been just wonderful in all types of weather, and always keep my feet dry.
