White's Boots

you need a rubber sole if you wear them in the rain or snow a lot. cycling with leather soles is also not too pleasant.
the soles on my double leather SD's show wear but are still far from needing a replacement after two years of service.

Oooooohhh those are pretty. -
Yep, they are very, very nice.

Oooooohhh those are pretty.first thought that came into my mind was that they could replace my a tad too narrow fitting 4HSxViberg boots…hmmmm?

nice one! it is also illustrating my point that natural CXL is Horweens version of pre-aged. Basically natural CXL shows
all existing blemishes, not only your own. It also reacts to oils and preservatives in a much more visible way, simply because it is lighter.
I do like the look, but for HWBC I don't think it is a choice that should compete in the same class as finished leather variations. -
i somehow have a feeling that when oiling/maintaining a pair of natural cxl boots, that they somehow just gonna end up as a "normal" pair of brown boots in the long run :-\
here´s another one for y´all (photoshopped together!)
black cxl toe, natural cxl shaft, etc. … that´s a double midsole right?

UNPOPULAR POST ALERT
Those pics show exactly why I don't like Natural Chromexcel personally. I feel that they are an "easy fix" for leather evo, and therefore feel artificial to me.
The best comparison I can give is that when I first got into quality Japanese denim (barring my forays with Bape, NBHD and Wtaps), I went straight for Samurai, as the evo pics I had seen looked incredible. I bought some 710's, and they evolved beautifully and very quickly, I went with S5000VX 21oz for HWDC1, same thing. Now when I compare my Samurai evo, to some of the evo I see on Iron Heart Jeans, and other brands (Sugar Cane, Roys, 3sixteen, Dry Bones etc…), I find I have a feeling of artificiality about some of the Samurai stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I fucking love Samurai jeans, and when I see what guys like Dingo in the HWDC have done then there are few better jeans out there, but part of me feels like they were made for an evo "quick fix", same with natty cxl (as all the cool kids are calling it ).
Sorry

Been asked for some pics of my black CXL oxfords after a year of wear, so here we go….

Friday, my opinion on the Whites/ Viberg comparison is that Viberg are finished neater, just not $250 - $400 neater. However, I guess at this end of the price spectrum personal taste is more important than cost in certain respects.

those insole come standard with your whites Andi? Also how do you compare the finishes compared to you vibergs? stitching, leather cuts, sole trimmings, etc. t.a
No, the insoles are my "part/ contribution" to this boot!;)
I love my Vibergs and the finish is a bit finer imho. But quality wise isn't a noticable difference.
I ve gone for a 9E in this and my usual Viberg size is 9D. Despite they are an E wide the white's are tighter and feel like a glove, which was painfull first two days. The Vibergs give more room to my foots. Lengthwise they are similar.Further is remarkable that the white's soles are brighter and much stiffer than the Viberg ones. But after a week they re getting more and more comfy!
Hope this helps you bro!
