Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

I guess tomorrow I will be making the dreaded trip down to Pier 39 to WeBeKnives… Been there before and know it is one of the only spots in SF but it is a bit expensive. I will go and handle everything you have all discussed and make a decision. I normally would go onto the Internet right after going into the shop and find the item much cheaper, but as it is basically the only spot in SF of its kind I will prob pay extra to support it. Pictures to come. Might have a new blade tomorrow!
Lando, have you ever been to TAD Gear?

Webeknives is fairly pricey for production knives, but they are one of the few places that carry customs as well. I once picked up a Deryk Munroe folder there at an amazingly low price. I got luck, they didn't even know who the maker of the piece was.

Well, one of the prototype jeans Haraki is sending me thiis week, has a hidden knife pocket incorporated into the design, so I need to test it properly…

Think I have just agreed to buy one of these:

Giles, Caswells are nicely done. I think you'll enjoy the way the pocket clip retracts into the spine of the knife.

Lando, what did you get?
Nothing yet. Did not have time this past weekend. Possibly this week…

TAD gear is amazing. And hard knocks has the most fucking amazing shit ever. defnitely get beignets if you go there. TAD leans a little too heavily towards super ultra huge Strider/ExtremaRatio'y knives for me. I don't need 3/4 pound of metal in my pocket for most things. But I LOVE their other items, especially the clothing.. unreal merino hoodies.

I own a ton of stuff from TAD Gear. I used to wish I jumped onto the Street Fighter jacket last year, until I heard about the Aero IH collab
It's funny you mention the big ass folders, I used to have a ton of them. Now I carry a slipjoint or a medium sized framelock like a CRK. Still, I have one ZT0300 left, and no Strider folders. I sold my last one to Giles, an SnG. Great knife that never got carried because I have so many damn knives

Naaa, I think this thread will/should live on past your lockless pretty things

Trying to "Bring it Back"
My New Kershaw…
So I went to TAD after visiting the website as recommended by all of you. After looking over things I decided to go check it out in person during lunch. I ended up grabbing this Kershaw for EDC. What do you all think? I am not a fan of the color as I would prefer a more traditional Silver or Black, but I guess that it does not matter as I bought it to use and not to look at. I have to flip the clip to the other side but other than that I am pretty happy with it.
