Just want to add. G & P are doing their best to accomodate Canadian customers. UPS charges brokerage fees. Of all the transactions I have placed over the years, I may have been dinged a few times. But if I were to use UPS, I was dinged every time. Parcel Force is quite good. My order was shipped on April 4th and I received it yesterday (April 9th), all the while the tracking system was showing awaiting customs clearance. Perhaps they are indeed wondering how heavy can a pair of jeans be.

It really is luck of the draw with Parcel Force/Canada Post, but I'd rather have my stuff take longer than get hit with a stupid brokerage fee.
Customs did open my package, but only one of the four bags the jeans were packed in (thanks IHHQ!!!). No charges, no problem.
Oh, and the waist of my MBBs have stretched out to an appropriate size, so today is the first full day in them. Walking in the rain.

the denim is badass…really!
gonna wear mine a few days more, then gonna send´em in for a hem (too perfect length without cuffing) + taper (just a little to make up for the 15cm of denim i have to take off) and then these are going to leave my leg not once during those two years...i hope -
^^ since i´ll let the guys from denimdoctor.co.uk take off like ~16cm, i´m thinking something like 8.5" (sth. around these parts) should do the trick. as you see not even an inch for me…i´d have loved to get them tapered from knee down on the inseam to keep the selvage line intact, but the guy (mike) told me it isn´t possible without messing with the width of thigh and rise cuz they have to open the whole leg...so the outseam/selvage line is what will be spread open and then there can taper from the knee down only, without messing with thigh or rise!

Zentner, same boat man, same spot since the 4th, haven't moved.
Although, that being said, I have a feeling that they are sitting in customs waiting to be "let" into the country, and because they haven't been released it still shows them in the UK. I'm sure they are all standing around in customs wondering how the hell a pair of pants can weigh that much!!With no hint of irony, it is because you are Canadians…....The overwhelming feedback from Canadian customers is for us to use Parcel Force (EMS) not UPS. Canada has one of the, if not the toughest customs regimes we know of. Honestly, shipping a pair of jeans into Canada is more difficult than it would have been to get a pair of Levi's into Russia 30 years ago. We thus, do not ship to Canada with UPS because virtually every parcel gets stopped and taxes added. So we use Parcel Force, who in turn use use Canada Post and their tracking systems are complete shite, but less parcels get taxes added......
Bottom line. We can ship to Canada quicker but it will cost you more, so we don't. Which is a shame because it costs us a lot more and is a complete pain for us to process.
All cool, G, and thanks for not using UPS, haha! I'm honestly not trying to complain, I was just curious if anyone else had the same thing happen. Just getting really excited for these jeans!!

Dunno if you had stuff done by him before but he is really good. The inside option is the best because you are going to end up with some wide ass selvedge if you go with the outside option. Not a problem if you never intend to cuff.
I spoke to him about tapering my size 34 MBB's but i switched to a 33 (thanks Giles & Paula for their help) and fit is much more what i want. If a little painful at the moment.

^ hey thanks a lot for sharing your experience mate! I think I'll let them hem to the perfect length. everyone needs at least one pair in the closet that can be worn without cuffs, right? right!
otherwise if you want to, you may find the time to pm me your experience you had with him and what he did to your pair(s)? thanks in advance… -
Took the dog out for a big walk earlier and i had some nice chaffing going on behind the knees!!
Haven't soaked these 33's yet as the waist is so tight but going to bite the bullet at the weekend and keep my fingers crossed. -
Nice pics Twin! Mine are softening up nicely after their first soak.
