thanks all for the kinda words guys…so day1 is almost over and i just took´em off.
can´t believe how pleased i am with those and how lucky i actually was to find such a pair in the perfect size
i really enjoy wearing those beauties. there was zero break-in time needed to feel comfortable in´em!first boot with such a heel/sole shape, first boot with the upturned toe (310 last), first boot in horsehide...fucking ace all the way!
Finn what size is that?
They're a size 9 (UK).
thanks for answering Chris…that´s actually one size up from my redwing/yuketen size, which is a 9 (US)!

So, I finally have my first pair of Vibergs – black horsehide 1950 Service Boots, 310 last -- and I love everything about them (leather, looks, foot support, sturdiness, etc) except that I am having a hard time adjusting to walking with that high heel. I have worn plenty of work boots over the years and don't mind breaking them in over time, but I realize that I have never had a pair with this higher heel (never had White's or Vibergs in other words).
So my question is for those who have worn the 310 last with the higher heel: Did you all have some adjustment time to getting used to walking in the boots? I guess I am a "heelstriker," who hits pretty hard on the heel first in my stride, and this seems exacerbated by the height of the heel. It's a little awkward and a little jarring. Did others experience this and adjust/get used to it? Or are there just some of us for whom the higher heel doesn't work?

^hey tod…nice to read you mate.
so it´s my first pair of vibergs with the same high heel i´ve bought recently and i have to say that getting used to that is still "under construction"...all my other boots have the vibram cristy sole and that is not even comparable to a sole+hell combo...i´m sure you gonna get a feel for the heel pretty soon (as i will), so getting used to them takes a bit of time.
i enjoy wearing the boots from day to day more though i have to say. and the high heel is becoming a close friend of mine over timejust my 0.002´s though!

You will adjust, I am an old sneakerhead from years ago who never imagined I'd be wearing boots and nothing but. At first it felt strange but after I adjusted to all of the offered support I where boots regardless of the situation.. I have a very difficult time wearing anything but now because I am that accustomed to the overall feel of a boot including the heel to anything else. I feel like I'm not at 100% in anything else… Call me crazy, but that just my view on the world

^^ Thanks for these responses men. I am going to hope this turns out to be my story too, cause I do love these Vibergs in every other way. Rafa, I hope it works for you too, cause that brown HH might well be the nicest boot leather I've ever seen!
If it turns out that I just can't adjust to the heel, I may end up selling these black HH's (size 10 UK), so if you're interested keep your eyes open. But I am hoping that won't happen…
