Agreed. I'd buy if it was the right size. Great looking besides the mark.

Some great builds this time 'round. Maybe finally some 10.5 in round 3? Good luck too all …

that sucks. i didn't get the pair i wanted either. guess you have to pretty much email them before the pics go up on
most of the pairs, but i'm not willing to do that. -
Yep, first round I hit send on the email before the pics were up. I lucked out, but it's crazy how fast they go.

Got my boots today in the mail. They actually fit pretty well! Maybe a half or full size or so too long. Either way, I am impressed. These boots make my Iron Rangers feel like toys. Really heavy duty shit.
I'm not sure I'll keep them, though. It's not that I don't like the boots. I'm just really considering custom ordering a pair of Vibergs instead now that I see how awesome they are.

Scout Boot in Size 12 (UK) on the 160 Last. It's a very sizeable boot. The 160 last fits like a 2E by default.
The net weight of the package indicates each boot is over 3 lbs each. Haha.
Posted this pic a page or so back:

Hi guys, I just got this Engineers Horse Hide with the post. Size is UK9.5
Saw them first time at the Bread & Butter show in Berlin this last January. The boots were part of the samples on display at the trade show. I asked Brett if they were for sale and he told that i could buy them, then we kept contact via emails and finally Morgan kindly helped me with all the sale details, payment, post, etc.
At that time when I tried them on at the Viberg stand, the length and width were fine but the upper front end of the boot rubbered my big toes with each step, Morgan stretched them and the problem was solved. I just tried them on and the fit is a dream.
I wear US9.5 in RW and Trubalance and this boot fit is a tad smaller that my regular RW, but is not a problem at all.
The leather color is dark brown, but with some wear it'll lighten up considerably, this according to Morgan.
The buckle is gold and it gives a subtle contrast with the dark leather.
I tried to fit a gel insole for extra confort, but the fit became too tight. I'll try with a thinner insole.
The heels are Cats Paw, rigid enough. And the front soles are Vibram 705.
The horse hide is very stiff. The vamp is shinny, very smooth to the touch and with almost no grain. The shaft is made from a more supple piece of leather, but yet stiff.
