WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
-
Not really today, but last week and every year at this time I get to move my office into the local theatre. It's pretty cool, it was a movie theatre in the 30's and they have kept a lot of the original decor and cool stuff.
We are a small, blue collar, big industry town, so it's only fitting that Imperial Oil bought the building and put their name on it
but thankfully they kept the original sign and put it up over the bar
The pre-entrance to the lobby, orig doors trim and floor (so I was told by those that know!)
working…just finished hanging the drop
and very randomly, someone brought this little dude by and it decided to hang with me while they watched for a while!
that was the week

Went in for an eye exam. Instead of dilation they have a digital retina mapping. Pretty cool.
-
Sweet. Does that mean you didn't have to get the drops?
-
Yep, no drops. Totally sped up the appt too since I didn't have to wait for my eyes to dilate.
-
Damn, I gotta see if I can get that.
-
My optician does that too, pretty cool. I don't get copies of the scan though.
You see this bright green light, almost like a laser but less intense, and you can see how that illuminates the scan in the picture.

Life ain't bad. The world is my oysters, with a side of The Last Word cocktail, equal parts Chartreuse, lime, gin, and Luxardo. Grassfed strip steak and kale next.

Tonight we celebrate the life and music of Muddy Waters at Lee's Liquor Lounge. A series of great bands playing his music.
Note the crazy Elvis shrine (this place also features gold glitter vinyl ensconced monitors, a Velvet Elvis, and a stuffed cougar):

I use the term "surreal". You should see the Elvis shrine downstairs in the backstage area. Place is odd, but had a certain charm. They get decent music from time to time, usually rootsy. Makes extremely strong drinks too.

I'm currently staying up way too late and fighting with my new cell phone, while listening to the neighbor's Tejano music.
Samsung insists on "enhancing“ my user experience in the most irritating and retarded ways possible. And goddamnit, when I change settings, I expect them to stay changed until I decide differently. Dealing with this crap is why I hate changing any piece of tech. I'm really becoming a Luddite in my old age.
This really belongs in Random Rants, upon further review…
