IHM-02 - Ventile Lined Sateen Cotton M65 Field Jacket
-
I love my M65. It's a jacket I've been on the hunt for for years but never pulled the trigger on. Instacopped the black one, and can see the upcoming Denim joining it;
Finn, great to see you making the most of VMC. Such a great opportunity
ooooh feck…totally forgot about the denim version coming out this year
IH is trying to kill all of us great pic snowman! -
any xxl's in green floating around anywhere?
-
IHM-02 is definitely a beautiful thing! I grabbed a OD green in XL. Beautiful fit too!
Bit tight when I have a jumper/hoodie under it though. But Aussie weather you don't really need anything thicker than a flanny under it.Always loved this style of jacket. When I first joined the army they were still issue as the M65 field jacket. This one is soo much better made obviously and better fitted. Keeping in mind though the original was designed to fit a detachable jacket thermal liner in it.

Congrats man I am definitely a fan of that jacket. Wore a black military issue one a lot in high school and college. Classic design and the IH one looks amazing.
-
Classic design and the IH one IS amazing.
-
The other OD- olive drab. That's the term for that classic army green. Not confusing at all, is it Finn?
-
Yeah Rafa, Olive Drab is the the classic military term or just OD Green. Mind you, most issue army clothing these days are camo. But when I first Joined up in 88 we still had OD Green in the Australian Army.
-
I really wish I'd grabbed that OD off the eBay…
-
I know; my consolation is that you have it
-
Haha, touche!
-
Or ODG….
Actually just OD (olive drab) to be accurate. The green bit is added for those non military folks. Well, that's how munitions cases are still marked anyway.

the last piece of black in medium is looking very tempting! the only thing that's holding me back is that I already got the green and the discount is not strong enough to make me lose my rational and take the plunge.
but i've to admit, this jacket is simply awesome and looks damn amazing. going to UK next week to start my 3 years university education. this jacket is gonna be seeing lots of use.
