T-Shirts

I think height can be deceiving for t shirt length because some folks have long legs with a short torso. My girlfriend has 32" legs with a tiny torso. She's 5'8", that's tall for a woman. Personally, I have a long torso and I look for a length between 27.5-29. I've also realized that regardless of loopwheeled or not, all tees shrink in length.
-
your gf?… now that's some great news brother. got me thinking about your rant a few months back with girls around your neck of the woods and all. happy to hear you've found someone
about t's with or without side seams...hell, I really don't give a flying feck (same with if lw or not!).
it's all about the fit baby and about if you feel comfortable wearing it or not!I have a few super cheap h&m t's for not even 10USD a piece and I really love to wear them...just for reference!
-
I'm wearing me Momo tee now, the fit is just perfect for me. I searched for one in my size for about 3 years absolutely convinced that they did not exist, but joy of joys they do, and they are glorious
And since I have a couple of them that are a size too small, I envy you greatly for finding them in XXL.
-
How tall are you man? I'm 6ft 1 and mine is as long as my IH, Jelado or Trophy tee's, and longer than Samurai or Buzz Rickson tees I've had in the past.
I'm a tad over 6ft1, but I'm a torso with little legs. Not just that, but I'm a skinny runt too - so I often find the height:width ratio of shirts doesn't work for me. Quite a hideous beast, I am!

I'm pleased to see my (not so) dastardly plan to revitalize this thread was successful. Thanks for the new recommendations.
davito and tatmantall, do you mean these 'Joe McCoy' tees with "McCoy's Sporting Goods Co." printed on the packaging: http://www.superdenim.co.uk/prodpage.asp?productid=2558
Has anyone seen this recent addition to the Sunspel range? A mere £195 ($299) for a very thin, natural indigo, Egyptian cotton t-shirt: http://www.sunspel.com/uk/mens/indigo-and-woad.html

Yes 2 pack made in usa, you find a fit pic of mine in the real Mccoy's thread
-
Yes sir! After several wash/dry I can also vouch for their resilience, still feel fresh out of the package which is a feeling I love!
-
Raf, what size did you try on in the 3Sixteen t-shirts?
-
davito and tatmantall, thank you.

a L was actually quite perfect!

I recently purchased a two-pack of grey 3sixteen t-shirts from Rivet and Hide, size S. They are really nice and soft, and the post-wash/dry measurements are almost perfect for me.
Many t-shirts are too long for me to wear untucked, but these shrank to the perfect length after I put them in the dryer. I measured them as 26.5" and 27.0" long when new and they shrank to 25.0" and 25.2".

Goodwear USA tees…
Heavy fabric and good stitching… Especially on the 7.2oz pocket tee and indigo waffle tee.
(from left to right) Heavy Indigo died waffle tee, Super heavy 7.2oz pocket tee, Heavy Natural white tank top, Thin sample long sleeved shirt, and 50 cotton/50 bamboo v-neck.
(Got 5 via grab bag $20 http://www.goodwear.com/grab-bag-special/)
Average cotton, but very well made.
Here is a description by Aero leathers:
"Goodwear's trademark heavyweight T is tubular, two-needled, and built to last. Made In USA, these T-shirts are American made at every step along the supply chain, from US-grown cotton to domestic ginning and spinning, to assembly with American truckers transporting their raw materials and finished products
We've conducted our own tests here at Aero, our Goodwear test shirts have had on average 40 washes each, there is no loss of shape, stretching round the neck, Yes Goodwear DO make the World's Best T-Shirts!!! [This last statement is obviously BS IMO, but still judging by the source it’s an impressive endorsement…]
Shrink can range from 3-10% depending on washing and drying time and heat (aeroleather)."Also talked to Goodwear and asked them to make a 7.2oz heavyweight pocket tee with long staple cotton (Supima) and they basically said that it’s going to happen…

That is a great tip man, will be looking into these.
