ULTRA HEAVY RAW - IH-1955-UHR, IH-666-UHR and IH-634-UHR
-
I'm definitely in for a 634 cut in this denim.
-
…..let's do this:
in 21/23 oz Indigo denim (and with boots ;))
-
Too specialist. I'd be surprised if I could sell 15 pairs of those…..
i thought so.
but still it would a great thing.
–--------------------
634 is super and one of my favourite jeans, but i think something different would be more exiting!perhaps to specialised too, but a
21/23 oz Indigo denim in a loose style, fitted for suspenders/braces would be top notch.
taa -
no 805…don't think they'd sell. well one or two maybe.
this is quite the best idea imo...well besides the already suggested 634 and 666!
^A modified 55 cut with a lower rise, especially the front rise would definitely grab my attention … An authentic 55 FR and having a bit of a gut/belly don't mix is my experience
-
I think a 1955 with a lower rise is pretty much, what I meant when I wrote of a 634 with more taper and a hem of about 8,25" with thigh around 13" at 33/34 waist. I don't own a real 1955 repro, but all cuts I tried on including the 1944 LVC had lower rises than the Ih 1955. if the rise came down 1" (fr and br) it would be on my list (in this denim of course!).
-
I've been abstaining from this conversation because I'm not sure if I would buy what's being made with this new denim. I will throw in an observation that, as much as I love my 634S, the hem openings on my 33s are too wide for sneakers (which I rarely wear, but still it would be nice to have a jean that doesn't care what's on my feet). So I think this current line of thinking is pretty smart.
-
Man, one of the issues I've always had with denim is that at a size 38 or 40, the rise is always huge and the hem is always wide. I think it's why I love my DC4001s so much. The only thing that would make me like them more is if they were a little more tapered at the cuff. I do think a DC4003 would be pretty badass.

634 (with a long inseam of course)

Consider the 55's Giles, the vintage boom is pushing even deeper this year not only with these new boutique brands but with RL himself, also worth noting is LVC is going Orange tab (something you were doing last year and the year before) thus there will be a shortfall of pre-sixties material out there for the next two years. It would be a no brainer for any vintage biker or satorialist to snatch up a couple of pairs of them as stocks dry out over the next few months.
