Pardon if I've missed mention of this in this thread.. I know I've seen it in others.. But h'bout the first buckleback / braces cut for IH in the 21/23 denim?
Something along the lines of -
absolutely!
absoFLIPPINlutely!that would be a dream come true!
in my opinion it be the ultimate addition to the IHFamily (but what do i know).taa

Yeah I love cinch back jeans, the XX501 1933 have buttons and cinch, but I think the '37 xx's are a much better shape, although they don't have the suspender buttons they are also the most coveted and most expensive originals to find, a truly legendary jean, great cut, love them. However the '37's are a boutique number only worn by the hardcore, and Giles is/has to be all about supply and demand, so I doubt very much sorry to say that cinch back jeans would ever see the light of day unless 100 orders flood in. In the mean time if you want to try them, try Freddies of Pinewood they do a very reasonably priced 40's style jean in 13.5 cone denim for you to try out, but for all you low rise emo's out there, beware they are high rise

Maybe try to connect a cinchback cut in 21/23 denim with a contest to gather more interest and to evaluate how many would be really down for it. But then, there was already the RAWWAR with the same denim.
Just an idea -

one of the best selling items from "pike brothers" is there "1937 romer pants".
http://pikebrothers.com/product/1937-roamer-pant/even f**king manufactum sells them:
http://www.manufactum.de/pike-brothers-denim-jeans-p1449985/?a=20515i get asked a lot about the jeans, when wearing them.
perhaps a jeans in this style isn't so hardcore at all.
anyway, i am only saying, that it would be a goOd thing.
cant really tell about the economic viability.taa

Just an ideagreat idea, lets think about that!

Let's forget cinchback, not really the Iron Heart aesthetic…..
a chinchback is not so important to me.
but could be done nicely in ih style:
–------------------------
what's about suspenders and the style of jeans they need?
taa -
if you want cinchback, rising sun, mister freedom, warehouse and what not is your brand of choice!
is that the point?
you could say that about a lot stuff.
taa -
What about a old cinch back denim vest
-
nope, no "point" …but it just isn't IH, that's all!
Not sure I understand this.. I've been under the impression that IH is about durability and classic design? Some of the earliest rail workers, ranchers, etc. all wore cinchback cuts. And there's a ton of Japanese dungarees / work pants with cinchback and metal braces anchors. Tough jeans, boots with braces and a t-shirt? I don't see why that's not IH.
Not pressing the issue with G - but in terms of aesthetic, I think it falls right in line with this brand.
-
I don't disagree with your analysis and personally, I love a pair of cinchbacks and yes some Japanese brands do amazing dungaree's (mine are TFH), but I think the are little fussy for IH. I think on the whole, while we do hark back to the classics, it's usually to the "cleaner" designs. Of course, never say never and I maybe completely wrong….
-
Definitely a touch of 'dainty' detail in terms of a buckle and the braces rivets. That's for sure. But there's no 'wrong' - it's all pretty subjective stuff.
One definite bugger is that a motorcycle ride + braces isn't really the cleanest equation.
