Batman

Mallrats Ben Affleck's best and last good performance. This Batman thing has really burnt my ass hair.

He was solid in Chasing Amy. Jersey Girl and Gigli were a double shot of ass juice and put me off his movies for years. If critics are to be believed, and they usually aren't, his work has improved markedly in the last 5 years or so.

I'm just breaking balls he was great in Argo and The Town however, he is gonna fucking destroy
Batman. I would have loved to see Clive Owen as Batman."Obstacles are stepping-stones That guide us to our goals"

Speaking as a life long Batman fan, and someone who has followed Clive Owens career from his debut lead in the ITV drama "Chancer", I can only comment FUCK NO.
Clive Owen is simply the English Ben Affleck, but with even less charisma and not even a quarter of Afflecks success.
The movie should have been done as "Dark Knight Returns", it should have been tweaked to keep continuity with the Nolan Batman films, and the older Batman should have been played by either Liam Neeson or Michael Keaton.

Fassbender? I don't even know her.
Luckily, I have been tiring of comic book movies as I age and turn into an even bigger curmudgeonly ass.
-
I'd like Michael Keaton back but just like Clive Owen he is too old Batman is perpetually in his mid thirties. I thought Christian Bale sucked as Batman. Although I do like him in other movies. I also am not a fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman. I would like to see Darren Aronofsky do Batman. Nolan and Burton's movies were not dark enough. Didn't capture the real Batman it's time someone lets Batman out of the closet.

Eric Bana as Batman. Would be sick.

If there is ever to be yet another Batman reboot, then the dream ticket is Curtis Hanson directing a shot for shot "Batman - Year One", with Guy Pierce as Batman, then follow it up with a shot for shot "Long Dark Halloween".
RANT - What royally fucks me off about Batman movies is that there is so much AMAZING source material, which the directors and writers either ignore, or in the case of Nolan simply say that it "inspired" them. Fuck inspiration, shoot the fucking story you egomaniac gimp.

**** Mods, please move this to a dedicated Batman thread where Jeff and I can discuss Batman until the wee hours ****
Yours truly,
Batman

Can we make sure he does his own VERY DANGEROUS stunts? Let's set him on fire.

ive been saying that for years mega that they should do year one then a like 3 parter or so of the long halloween
and use a director that gives a fuck
sincity and 300 are prime, PRIME examples that a almost direct adaptation from a comic to the movie screen CAN work
also the fact that they are both frank miller and year one is frank miller makes it a fucking no brainer -
^agreed. 300 and sin city turned out great and i enjoyed both. I am a huge Batman fan and love love love Michael Keaton and Tim Burton combined. I think the "time" the first Burton batman came was the only thing holding it back(still love it mind you) but if Tim had a crack at it now i believe it would be much darker and batass. Even Barman Returns was lookin more "gothic" from the first. Bale did a decent job but i hated his batvoice. Yuck. I really cant cant see Affleck doing a good job, ie DareDevil. Boooo

Well, I was joker(ing) about having a Batman thread but AWESOME
Nate and PP, only thing I cant agree on is Tim Burton. I think the man is a hack these days.
