Just tried on a crapload of stuff. I love mister freedom…
-
That middle jacket looks great. Well… they all look great, but I could see really wearing the middle one.
-
again I love so much of Mf stuff….But never feel it looks good on me
great jackets ben.... so, the real question is how much damage (if any) did that trip damage your wallet
-
I'm so envious of you west coast guys. I need to get more MF into my life. The problem is the wife thinks IH is super pricey…. Wait till she sees the MF line
-
Thanks fr all the comments guys, it's so awesome there. Tat, I didn't buy anything as I really need to sell some stuff first but here are some thoughts…
Pensacola fits tts and is definitely cool but imo not a perfect cold-weather jacket because of the large knitted part at the bottom.
Mullholland master is awesome. Probably the first jacket id buy as it is the ultimate for cold/wet. I tried a 38 and it fit well, so tts.
Drover is fucking amazing!! I want it so bad but it's pretty damn impractical. I would size up one on this because I tried on a 38 and it was very constricting. The pic in my last post is a 40. I hardly ever suggest sizing up so take this to heart.
-
And what I actually got….calico pueblo! In a 38, yet another favorite shirt. Pattern is insane
-
Badass shirt man. Congrats, it looks amazing. Definitely doing some checking into the Mulholland jacket.
-
Thank you! And the mulholland is seriously great. Perfect for rain.

Ben awesome calico well done. Why do you think drover is impractical, i assume weather wise? I read a lot from Cali guys wearing it. We have hot summer weather around here too but in some cooler summer nights its so cool to wear with just a tee.
Re sizing depends how u wanna fit it, i wear a 36 tts its snug could have gone one up like u suggest but then i was not happy with a 38 as i did not like too much room around my chest and shoulders. But yeah its really on the thight side due to the cut of the wool and the inner flanell (the one used for the turquoise Ranch hand shirt btw) around the Body as well as some NOS hickory inner lining in the arm parts.the 40 looks great on u maybe you think about it again
I am lurking around the mulholland for years i think its such a great piece of art, it suits you very good as wellThat pattern on that is awesome! Also for those interested, the cardigan is up on the mf site now, and a significantly smaller price that of the Japanese link posted a few pages back
Yeeees voila

Hmm maybe impractical isn't the best description, but instead impractical for me. Currently, I don't have a nice jacket for rainy/"crappy" weather (even though I love cold weather!) and I think it would just make way more sense from a utility perspective for me to pick up something that covers that base first and foremost.
I already have a few jackets for non-rainy days that I love and keep me warm enough. Got to make sure that I'm not buying too many things and wear everything I got you know?
That being said, I seriously love the drover and still might pick it up if I get the funds somehow because it truly is a work of art. Probably my most favorite looking jacket of all time.
-
Yes, a really nice leather jacket is in my very long term plans….. But I love the Himel heron so I would probably go with that. It will definitely have to wait at least a year or two but that's okay, I got plenty of time....
Also, on the topic of mister freedom, I'm not really sure what it is but I think MF might be my favorite brand. Recently I've found myself just looking for really unique and interesting fabrics/patterns and MF just fits the bill so well....

x-post from BR thread MF related
How is the denim on those MFs? Which jean is it?
mclaincausey, this is the Cali lot 44 (the one with cinch back) from the American sportswear NOS collection (first cali lot 54 is without cinch). there will be a lot 64 coming in this fall sportsman collection. Those are pure straight fits with quite a leg opening. I like that.
denim is cool, 35 diff fabrics were used of course NOS, cone mills US produced 12 oz. mine is marked "PXUV". You will find some info on MF page or in Christophe's blog as well as in this link
