Never thought I'd say I love a cardigan…
-
It looks even more killer I think than the picture. Those buttons look lighter than other product shots, that may be a prototype.
-
Very interested in getting the indigo cardigan….but what color buttons does it actually come with? All the different pictures have different buttons, lol.
-
specs taken from MF page. Christophe probably switched the buttons from the natural to his indigo one or it seems they come either or but I am sure you can get what you like when emailing them
- Wool Jersey body and sleeves, ribbed end knit.
- One piece body wrap knit (no side seams).
- Milanese knit button placket.
- Wide wrist knit cuffs for roll-up.
- Fold over double layer pockets.
- Blind stitched bottom hem, folded end knit.
- Natural Corozo buttons, aka vegetable ivory or coconut wood.
-
My guess is you need to call them about the buttons, they could be almost any shade based on that description. As mentioned, I'd want the dark ones, and it should be exactly as you want it for that kind of cheddar.
-
One closeup pic shows blue buttons too…

I believe davito's right on about the blue buttoned one being a sample. In the description for the cardigan Christophe mentions that the buttons and tag were sewn on after the dying process so as to maintain their natural color.
Really thinking about trying to grab one of these in natural…

Road Champs, Takeshi triple leather soles, Cat's Paw heels.
-
Unreal boots MCC. They look stellar.
-
Thanks man, I love em. The fact that I resisted my beloved new Vibergs this morning is testament to them.

Alright this question might seem silly but….how do the road champs feel on feet? Keep in mind I literally only have experience with vans and I've never even tried on a boot. I'm wondering if they're going to be annoyingly heavy/bulky walking around...
-
Thanks Sean;
Ben, I'm not the best person to ask (if in fact you're asking me), as these have been Takeshied. They are 10D and the resole took them to 9.5D (the uppers are double stitch down) and the soles are probably 1/3 thicker than stock. So the foot feel is way different I bet. They do feel heavy on the foot, but I like that. I'm a boot guy through and through.
Tat and davito and possibly others could answer how the stock feel, but all I can say about nerkg's/mine are that they are AMAZEBALLS.
Leather can't be beaten, very supple. These boots feel better than any others I own, though the Vibergs aren't even close to broken in and the Lofgren are close.
Can't recommend them enough. If you have the time and patience, including the Hukurokuju treatment ($400 and time/trouble being the cost there). I will likely be adding a tighter hole on the ankle strap. I max it out and it could go one more notch. Christophe did that to his.
-
Thank you for the thorough answer…. Kind of just thinking aloud. I think when I eventually buy a pair or boots rc's will be the first.
-
There's a 10 on the bay.
Just added a hole to my ankle straps.

Ben some like wearing engineer styled boots some dont. Road champ is a great output from mf and so far the only MF product rerunned but you never know. I began with the viberg x VMC vintage toe style and since then almost only wear engineers. They treat my feet well and i love the walking groove in them. The champ is soft and mold to your feet pretty quickly, make sure you size right because of the low toe design. It runs big so half to full size down from ur usual tts. I went down half and it give some space to break it in nice without having my toes touching the front. I am wearing a us8 could have taken 7.5 but VMC didnt take half sizes and i want it comfy.
