I sold an item on ebaylast weekend, when the buyer paid, he paid with paypal echeck at the beginning of the week, this past week and it has still not cleared… I have never received an echeck before. Is this a typical wait period?

Any skiers on the forum? I have a pair of Volkl Shiro 193 trying to decide between Look Pivot 18 or Marker Jester Pro. Any recommendations would be helpful.

Are there any IHUK gift certificates?
I got a dreadful,"I was gonna get you an IH giftcard but couldn't find one," message from my GF regarding my Bday present.

Here's what I've been doing:
I use Neatsfoot on Horween CXL, once every 6 months, because that's their recommendation.
I use Obenauf's LP on any smoothout and Obenauf's oil on some smoothout leathers.
I treated my rougouts with Obenauf's water-based silicon (12%) spray, three treatments.
I've treated unstained leather with the oil and LP.
I've used VEB's trick of polishing with canvas soaked in water periodically.
I brush after each wear with a horsehair brush.
I'm extremely happy with the results of all of the above.

Personally, I wouldn't put anything on them. Oil tanned leather is designed to survive a ton of abuse without a lot of maintenance. Unless you're planning to wear them while doing construction work in monsoons, they should be just fine without anything for months, possibly years.
When you do finally get around to putting something on them, I'd suggest the Obenauf's, just because I've heard people say mink oil quality can be inconsistent.

Ah. I would do LP. The oil can change the tone more. I'm sure other with more experience on the topic than I will weigh in.

I'm with Chris on this one in that you should be fine to wear them for quite sometime sans treatment
