Looks really nice IMHO. -
That sport Jacket looks great Davito.
Can any one give me sizing info on the McCoy's N-1, I tried Buzz Rickson's standard version and needed a 42 but in the new sea wash version the 40 was perfect, does anyone have an idea how they fit compared to the McCoy's?
cheers -
Hi darkmatt thank you
Have you looked at big measurements already? I dont have the N1 but would prob go with a 36 (for a snug 40 inner chest without layering). In the sports jacket i wear a 38 as well as in the j100 both snug 40" chest. Hope helps a bit. For more comfort and bit layering 38 would be my size in the deck as well. Remember this N1 has a nice alpaca inner lining so for my style i would most def go 36. but again would def need some research to do as well
Somebody who has the N1 may chime in?

The McCoys N-1 is roomy by Japanese standards. I am usually a 42 or a 44 and I wear a 40 in the N-1 which gives a trim, authentic fit.

Thank you, I have looked at measurements but they vary from store to store, in the first couple of stores I checked the McCoy's does seem comparable to the sea washed Buzz, but then others where way off.
I recently bought a size 40 McCoy's CPO shirt which was too small. As anyone seen the plain version for sale online in Jp stores? only place I've ever seen them was blue in green but they have gone now.

I got mine from Vintage Paradise via Rakuten.
My guess is that some may be measuring external and other internal dimensions. The alpaca is thick so this could cause serious divergence on P2P, etc.

I can only see the thumbnail but it looks perfect to me.

So next year I'm buying a deck jacket. In torn between this and the IH one. Does anyone have experience with both? It's a little ways away, but I like to day dream about it. I need a seriously warm coat for when I don't feel like wearing my primaloft.

Good call. I'm excited to get read opinions when they start coming in. Thanks G.

I absolutely love my RMC and it has an extremely thick pile of alpaca. Pretty much beaver pelt thickness. It is not something I would recommend to anyone living somewhere fairly warm. You wouldn't get much use of it in the South. I think you would in St. Louis though.
I think the IH one is absolutely stunning. If it had dropped sooner I'd have gotten one as my first IH coat. That said, I can't say I'm anything but floored by the heft and construction of the RMC and am very happy with it.
The one thing that is the most general differentiator is that IH makes a jacket inspired by a naval deck jacket, where RMC makes a slightly modified reproduction of different naval deck jacket models. Some people don't like repro shit. When it comes to outerwear, I have 3 military repros, so I'm clearly not in that camp.
I anxiously await my first IH coat, the M65 in black.
