White's Boots

Now, that's an evo pic! You ever dub them
Also, pls refresh my memory the last and leather type on these. Look like standard SJ last made with harvest RO?
-
Lowered block heel looking proper- congrats on a fabulous looking pair! Think the brass hardware really make the boot pop. Btw- these soft toe? Also, is the leather combo brown dress x British tan?

Really digging that leather combo. Great boots…
Thanks for the comments!
Actually, these have a standard height block heel (and it just goes to show how photos can be deceptive). I didn't want to risk messing with the "arch ease" set-up by lowering the heel, and thought that if for some reason the standard height didn't work out I'd just have the heel lowered by a shoemaker. But the standard height feels perfect. Comfortable straight out of the box.
I originally specified the upper with Brown Smooth (oil tan), but then changed my mind and switched to brown chrome excel. I also asked for the back strap in black. I'm glad I went with the full boot in CXL (although I have a few pairs now) as I like the way it moulds and wears. Also, I'm surprised at how substantial the lining is… like everything else about the construction of the boot, its heavy duty.

Hey looking into Whites semi-dress boots and had a question on the different leather options what are the differences in durability and comfort for the different types of leather ? I am overwhelmed by the options for leathers (colors and animals)
-
Comfort - Chromexcel or buffalo, but both mark fairly easily.
Durability - Horse, Dress or Smooth. I recommend dress as the most bang for your buck, it ages well too.

Here are my White's SD in brown dress

skaterpunk437, I am with Mega, go with Smooth or Dress.
D666, the evo is sick!!! I like it!
