Hey Bluegrass, it´s the Red Dog Rought Out The Harvest Rough Out is a little thinner, so I choose the Red Dog, because they gonna be my new Winter shitkickers. That is the reason why I wanna wax em at the weekend. And Yes, it´s a Red Dog Smooth tongue

Funny, you never really know what they will look like until you open that box - I've seen other pics of red dog roughout that look quite different - and I would not have guessed that the various roughout leathers were different thicknesses - although I have heard that desert storm roughout has to be sold with a liner. Love that pop of color from the red tongue.

I'm debating the heel specs for some boondocker inspired BHs in distressed RO; to either go with a lowered standard heel with 269 soles or lowered with 700 or 430 soles. I thought for sure I'd want the lowered with 430 ala Bluegrass or Hollows, but my recently aquired SDs with double leather soles on the standar heel got me thinking differently. Haven't seen many pics out there (if any!) of the standard heel with a soft toe.

Bretro - maybe these (posted by 4c) have a standard heel height w/ 700 sole… hard to tell.
