Viberg - January 2014 Special Orders

I'm 100% in for the service boot in the first pic. Let me know where/when/how to sign up.
-
Unfortunately, the Service Boot in the first pic is Cordovan, so the leather would be different. I am looking into what other options Viberg offers.
Expressing your interest in this thread is enough. I will compile names and PM you when the time comes. Thanks, SSoL.
Sounds awesome! Looking forward to hearing the details!

Country Derby Boot
BrownMerlot Waxed Flesh? -
I assume Merlot is a deep red wine color? I vote big thumbs down Fugly Bugly

All good, SSoL. There is no limit to the amount of builds we can propose here. You can find pics of the smooth side of the Merlot leather, above.
I'm still with you on a classic, black service like the first pic. Viberg recommends the black oil tan and black CXL leathers as the two best leathers suited for polishing. The black CXL scuffs easier, FYI. Your call, I like them both.
-
Ahh sorry I think I'm understanding better the way this call to arms works.
I like the CXL idea, scuffs or no. Also, it's key for the sole to be natural-colored so as to contrast all pretty-like with the black.

wow that derby boot is a beauty

No worries, at all. The learning curve is all part of the process.
Agreed. CXL with a natural sole it is. Preference on eyelet color?

Brass.

I think a service boot mixing rough and smooth out leather of the same tone would be cool. Rough on ankle support and/or heel counter, for example.

Something like this?
