I think if you clearly mark the item as "made in Canada with US leather" and specify that it's being sent back to the manufacturer for a resole, it should be OK. FedEx is probably a better bet than USPS/Canada Post, but I've only ever done the latter to ship to Canada.

Why would there be any issues shipping between the US and Canada? Because of NAFTA, there shouldn't be any customs fees. At least, that's been my understanding, and I didn't incur any additional charges when either of my pairs were sent to me.

I take UK10 in Trickers and Jeffery West, and all 3 pairs of Viberg, (Engineer, Smoke Jumper and 50's Service boots) so you should be fine, although that depends on whether you need the additional width or length when you have 10.5 in your shoes.
