^ Word, I'm sure it's just a loophole eBay have found to fuck us a little more.

The only way it has served me recently is when buying vintage flannels I have emailed every seller to tell them I will pay no more than $20 as I refuse to pay import on a 40 year old shirt. So far all but one seller has reduced the shirt price to $20 exactly

I don't even bid on the auctions that have the import duties estimated/included. I find that the quote that eBay generates is often close to $100 for Mexico, regardless of the price of the item. And anything that I've bought where the seller didn't use that function, I end up getting charged nothing by customs. Seems like it wouldn't be in the best interest of the sellers OR buyers, if that's the way it's going to work.

Whenever we go over to my in-laws' house for anything, if we are not there at exactly the designated time, they call Julie within two minutes to ask why we're late. However, if they are supposed to come to our house, they are always, always, always at least 45 minutes late. They will never, ever call.
Once, Julie called them after they were a full hour past due. They had not left the house yet. No apologies given. After a similar episode, they are no longer allowed to pick us up at the airport.
By the way, this post was prompted by the fact that they were supposed to be here for lunch at 1:00.

MY in laws work in two separate ways when it comes to visiting depending upon who is in charge of the visit. I'll run you through both scenarios…
-
Mother-in-law. The woman operates on her own time entirely, she can be anything from 10 minutes late, to not turning up at all. No apologies will be offered EVER, and if you dare question her it will definitely be YOUR fault entirely and nothing you say or do will convince her otherwise.

Father-in-law. He served 25 years in the Army as an RSM (Regimental Sergeant Major with the emphasis on MENTAL). If he says that he is coming at 5pm then that is the exact minute at which he will knock on the door, not one minute sooner and not one minute later. If he arrives 5 minutes early he will sit in his car outside the house until the exact moment that he is scheduled to arrive.
Both are equally irritating in their own way.

I cannot abide the kind of selfishness Chris and Mega have just described, and that Seul mentioned previously in regards to a party. The most peeving bad character traits to me are selfishness, self-centeredness, and thoughtlessness, and nothing demonstrates these flaws more than making someone wait, as though their time isn't important to you. I consider the boorish behavior y'all have mentioned to be abusive and I treat it as such–anyone who ever makes me wait will know that I was not happy about it (if I even wait at all), though I am always very gracious if they acknowledge it and try to be considerate about an unforeseen circumstance that kept them.

How is this not completely fucking awesome?.. And McKleine: completely agree with ya…

Seriously, never ever visit Argentina. You would explode with rage, everyone in the entire country is either waiting for someone, making someone wait for them, or both.

Things the in-laws do that sound completely awesome when you first hear them get really irritating after you've lived with it for 15 years.
Trust me on this…

Hahaha. My inlaws are pretty awesome so i cant complain but the behavior i am hearing would drive me bananas guys. ESPECIALLY when they give no excuse or dont fucking care. WOW. I have a buddy that will say he will be here at 10 and at 1030 i will txt him and instead of "oh sry dude, fell asleep" or "i had to help my folks out real quick, omw now" i will get "holy fuck man, i guy cant have supper first!!" IGNORANT
JDL, im in the same boat with my oldlady. She will actually tell me to "hurry up and get ready, we have to be _____in like 20mins." So i get ready quickly and then stand at the door fully dressed for 10-15mins waiting for her. Wild
