Advice Needed for Handling a Boot Crisis
-
Hi i had that on my VMC anni horween horsebutt too, the hole on mine even teared fully through to the next closer hole. I lived with it since they are on the narrow 2030 compared to your 2005 last. contact viberg and seek for a solution that they might exchange and re-sew at least the straps. The horsehide engineer seems to be problematic sometimes. Good luck and hope you'll find a good solution. Its a bummer sure but there should be a way to sort it out.
I had trouble with my shiniki buco on some stitchings not the Straps though but it was restitched nicely by a cobbler.Take care

Thanks for the tips Davito. I have contacted Guy at Viberg who has been great. I've initially suggested doing an exchange for something else, so we'll see where this goes.
It's encouraging to see that others have dealt with similar issues. It's just sort of nerve racking and disappointing since the boots are so new!

Just a follow up on this: I heard back from Guy at Viberg and he was awesome! Those guys really stand behind their products, and found it entirely unacceptable that this problem would develop so soon; he confirmed that those straps should be fully functional in every way. Perhaps the horse is just too much for this sort of boot. Guy offered to repair, replace, refund, exchange, etc. really just stand up folks over there.
I have chosen exchange, so I'll have something new coming from Viberg, but I shall let the suspense hang until I have it at hand!

I think the Viberg guys feel the same way, which is why they're quickly offering to resolve the problem in any way SSoL wants. That's quality service, and exactly what I'd expect from them.
Sorry your boots didn't work out, Spring, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you're going to get for the replacement.

Thanks guys! I'm somewhere between 10.5 and 11 in Viberg. Given the narrower overall shape and especially the toe of the 2030 I'm an 11. I have weird long narrow feet that get fairly wide along my toes like a fekkin alien
