633 looks good. Now I just need to obsess a bit about the measurements and decide sizing and how much to hem. Good times.
-
634 minus 1 sounds good for some, but with the inseam we are going to get into the age old debate about it changing once you hem it, blah, blah meh.
i have to say i like the denim used on this project, that jacket is going to be insane after some wear.
-
Kiya, any estimate of the hem? The 634 tends to be in the 8.5 range. What's the difference in the 633? 7.5?

Once you see the denim in person you'll just KNOW that these jeans and jackets are going to age in a crazy way. You should go into the store if you have time to see them in their raw state.

You mean the actual measurement of the 633s?
If so, they're right here:

That's not a debate for me. Cutting 2 inches off the bottom is only going to widen the opening an eighth of an inch or less. Not even worth worrying about.
Like you said- blah, blah, meh. -
My size is only 0.2" smaller at the hem than the 634S cut anyway, a subtly cut it seems.

Like you said- blah, blah, meh.Do keep in mind that this is made of unsanforized denim, meaning the hem width will shrink about .3" after a hot soak.

Kiya, Is the new jacket cut the same as the OD modified III that you are currently selling? Just getting a sense of fit.
edit. Sorry, didn't see the measurements were posted until just now. I'll do my homework

Yep, the unsanforized aspect is why I'm wavering between size 33 and 34- trying to decide how the thigh is going to work out after shrinkage.
-
I'll have the jacket and 301 on Saturday. Gonna be some interesting fades.
-
^looking forward to seeing these

If only we had somebody who could properly photograph them!
Yea ditto man. I don't mean to be negative but those pics on the SE site tell me nothing. That bro is not wearing the 633 as they should be worn.
-
Think tigerpac was referring to the fact that urb is a photographer….
-
I'm just hating. Don't mind me
-
I think he's also wearing an unsoaked, unhemmed pair just for the product pics. That's not gonna give the most accurate impression of the jeans.
-
I think it will take a soak and 20+ wears for this denim to get in line. It's super rigid and tough. I wouldn't go off the Self Edge fit pics like Chris said, since these are loomstate. I'll have both on Saturday(I'll have to wait for the jeans to be hemmed first) and I'll try to take some pics.
The 301s fit exactly as expected with a pretty loose waist and fairly tapered leg. After they tighten up they will fit really well. As for the jacket, I went with an XXXL because it was roomy and comfortable with an IH hoodie underneath. The XXL fit well but that is before a soak. I'll hot soak it just to get as much out of the arm length as I can. The body length was great. I'm glad they finally added an outer selvedge ID to the 301 cut.
I'm wondering what the true denim weight will be after it's soaked. If it's similar to the unsanforized 21/23oz denim I'd assume this will end up around 22oz?

The denim is rated at 20oz per square yard in its loomstate condition, the rate of shrinkage is about 6% on this jean, meaning it'll end up at ~21.2oz per square yard once hot soaked.

Thanks.

How to choose between these beauties? I find myself missing the signature IH pocket arcs, but I have to say these came out really well. That jacket looks so killer.
