EDC - What's In Your Pockets?
-
I always think of the Bill Hicks bit on the English punishing criminals by sending them to Australia.

G23 here, so, similar gun. I do not edc it at this time though. I installed a lighter trigger and a grip but the thing really needs a mag release extender.

I tried REALLY hard to like 40SW and just couldn't get into it. Even got a brand new slide assembly and barrel and changed out my Sig P226

Ok, ok I suffer from gun envy….so shoot me...not literally.

Has she done much shooting thus far?
for the last 13 or so years about once a year she fires every a 9mm, a shotgun & an M16. she hates all of them & just needs something to build her confidence & work on her basics.
okay to turn this wreck around a bit here's my pocket dump, not every day carry but sort of close:
l-r
chits to get equipment if going to work, lighter cause it's polite to be able to light a fire, house keys, car keys
old ass ipod, phone, wallets & kerchief to wipe the sweat from my brow -
We feel the same way about Piers Morgan over here and were glad to see the back of him….thanks for sending him back assholes
You send your undesirables to AUSTRALIA
Morning! ::)

Cool that you still have the old ass iPod nano. Keep it forever- that was one of the better versions, I thought.

Want mine Chris? It's collecting dust.

Not that I'm an authority, but if I were you I would consider a 22lr. If it weren't such a pain, I'd send you my Ruger 22/45. If you think you're going to eventually land at a Glock 9mm, you can get the gun and then get one of the 22lr conversion slides so she'll learn to get comfortable with a single platform. Jody likes her 19 for a couple reasons. It's easy to train with so she's proficient. It's big enough for her hands but small enough for her purse. She doesn't carry on her body (yet). Too small in her purse is no good either because there's too much crap in there and she wouldn't be able to get to it fast if there was a defensive situation

Oh, you Americans
I'm owning a Colt Government, but of course (Germany!!!) using the thing exclusively on the shooting range. I'm member of a shooting club, but it's just sports. The gun is securely stored away in a safe, gun and ammo separated. My interest in guns began when I was a part time doctor in prison and the wardens took me with them to the shooting range.
The 1911 is perfect for that, so reliable and easy to use. It's heavy, but that helps in targeting. I tried a Glock 19 and a 9 mm Sig once, but always came back to the 1911.When I'm in the US full time (after my marriage), I will definitely get a gun. My future wife already owns 2, a Glock 17 and a S&W revolver (.38) I believe in the saying "you don't go with a knife to a shooting"

Btw, a gun thread was started here awhile ago. I was disappointed there are only two posts in there

I love the way 1911s handle.

Mad,
My Mrs keeps a .38 for concealed carry, which is a natural transition to .357, from there a 9mm is easy. In other words start small, but on a firearm that can still be effective. She also likes the feel of a revolver better, but is capable of controlling her dad's .40 if she wants. She doesn't push her limits much though, and is typically happy with what she carries

I'm surprised more people don't use pepper guns.
