They used to stock them in garbstore. Both the 7" and 11" engineers look pretty damn good for the price

I've been eyeing a pair this week too MM, couldn't decide between black and brown but now black has sold out in my size the decision is easier.

Thanks davito, sabergirl & cutlasshound. I think I may have a few pairs incoming. For less than one pair of Whites or Vibergs on the used market. Will maybe start a thread but most definitely will report back. . . .

A pleasure old chap. Keep us posted as to what they are like!

Wait till you see what i got.
I don't think I've been this excited about footwear since my 1st pair of Viberg's.

where did you get them from? online presence seems a bit thin on the ground…

went to gentry in hipster paradise bklyn. last time i saw so many beards i was talking about purim with my rabbi homie.
great value for your money. can't talk about the items being made ethically or anything until i do some actual research. here are a few images just cause a picture is worth a thousand words:
Promise will get better images up in the next few days, just been keeping weirder than usual hours & so you know you left with late night images with crappy light & patron thoughts.
oh here are 2 of the pairs i grabbed on gentry's site:

Those lace up boots are great looking.
I've owned a couple of pairs of boots that were made in Guanajuato, and the quality is very good. Glad you like what you found.
-
thanks for un-monday'ing the links, chris.
lace ups are called 6" cap toe lace ups & they are comfy out the box & a great boot to look at. after taking them around the block a few times will report back.
G, what length benjo's you thinking of? they got 34", 48", & 54". maybe best to go with the 54" too long is better than too short. . . or just play it safe with the 48" . . .
-
I know what lengths they do and they actually do a 36 too. BUT, my view is that 54 is not long enough. I can't even lace a pair of service boots up properly (let alone a Smoke Jumper) with a 54, but that may just be my overly large instep, hence the question.
So let's try again. Forget what length laces Benjo's make, what length laces would you buy if you could?
