To do otherwise IMO and I'll say it again IMO IMO IMO, doing otherwise is buying into your own plan with stubbornness even when it's not the most practical. I know you hate planned obsolescence and were planning on holding what you've got to the grave. The most practical and cost effective solution, taking in a 2+ year view from now is to sell the 4s whilst it's still worth a fair bit, and get the 5c for free, or bump up to the 5s if you can. The 5s will ensure the phone lasts many more years without missing a beat.

Thanks guys, for some reason the 5S is more like 6 or 7 pounds a month more and comes with even less data. The new plan with the 5C comes with 1GB per month of data, which made me wary until I cheched the statistics on my 4S to find that I had only used 8GB in 24 months previously, and I use my phone constantly.
-
Wow, you use that little data?

If I download apps it is always at home through wifi, I never stream movies or music on my phone, literally all I do is web browsing, social media and email.

Sounds like a pretty good deal.
I have an iPhone 5 and I fucking hate it. You can always sell the 5s and reap the profits

May I ask what you hate about it, and what you had before it?

Pardon the interruption.
Carry on.

I had the iPhone 4 which had no problems with, ever. Had nothing but problems with my 5. Apple seems to insist on updating the software every fucking week which leads to a Russian roulette of me plugging my phone in and not knowing how much crap it's going to wipe off my phone for no bloody reason. For example, I plugged it in once, installed an update and it wiped ten gb of music off my phone without me asking it to. The only trouble was, it said that the music was till on the phone when I plugged phone into computer, but it wasn't.
At the end of the day I only use my phone for making calls. Sending messages/emails, eBay, browsing the occasional shop and tapatalk. Most of the crap on it I don't use (Siri being a prime example). My mate has the htc one which I have been far more impressed with.

Plus many times I have tried to make a call and - despite having full signal - the phone just fucking laughs at me and won't do it. Plus apple like to bend you over and rape the fuck out of you if you want to buy a phone case, and they changed the connector - que charging me £15 for a sable that every time I plug it in my phone tells me that it's not an official cable (it is) and therefore won't charge properly.

Well, you're doing a great job of talking me out of a deal that was too good to refuse

I can't, I'm at work and do not want to stream data on my current crappy data plan

Anyone know of either an American or Japanese made MP3 player?
Is Neil Young's Pono music player made in USA?

Who's rocking that new Normcore trend?
Nice quote at the end too.

Finally, a trend that embraces me.

No, to be saved you need hank dyed, hand woven, natural indigo dipped denim which has been hand stitched together by dragon trainers in the volcanic crater on the top of Mount Hakoni…....and a Coors tee.
