Wesco - Production and sneak peeks
-
If only I could justify another pair of green boots. Or another pair of burlap Jobmasters.
-
MP last looks nice…

Thanks Giles! I will chat with Sascha some time to see wether we can do a jobmaster that I like. (Or I'll have to snag the last Viberg Serv ice Boot from him).

Saw and touched the shown samples of this thread. Not one disappoints, great boots and quality. Will be interesting to watch this happening.

I had the chance to meet G and Sascha at the BBB. Don't need to say both guys are awesome but have to mention this boots are the killer!
Tried the Black/Black Engineer on. Decision to buy is already made just need to figure out whether to go with one of this three ready-built engineers or with my own custom built!;-*Enjoy ya addiction!

Jealous!!! Need to check em out asap!

OK. One of the reasons I love this job is that nothing goes quite to plan, so the art of getting where you want to end up is often a series of tweaks.
I love the Burlap leather that Wesco does, the feel of the smooth out is almost sensual, so I had this "brilliant" idea. Lets take the same hides, subject it to the same tanning process but make it in Olive Drab.
So Chris at Wesco jumped on the idea. And we made one sample hide.
Bugger, we got the recipe wrong. Personally, I hope these are my size, because I will wear the crap out of them in the certain knowledge that the green will mute with the appropriate abuse.
For the production run, we'll get the green a lot more drab…
(annnnnd please, no Robin feckin Hood jokes)
Is this one considered the 'boss toe' or something else?
A drab green might be up my alley.

That's the regular jobmaster toe. G can confirm.

Was afraid you'd say that.
