Bitch Please… FAKE Iron Heart?
-
Thanks for helping out with this @dlaz , I feel bad not only for the real brands but for guys like you who work hard for your good gear, I think Malaysia in particular has a great denim scene and I hate that these idiot fakers might make people think otherwise.
-
Mega made the point and the same thing baffles me. Why, if you have the means, would you not just create something original. If fakes are being sold to dupe people or if people knowingly buy fakes to pretend they have the actual item then the duped should really know much much better (the amount of research I did first time round!) and the fakers should engage their brains because the whole point of quality denim is the fabric, the feel, the cut and the tradition.
I wonder how much of this shoddy merch is actually sold?
-
Speaking to some guys who messaged me yesterday it sadly seems like quite a lot of these jeans are sold, and it also seems that the reason these guys don't just make their own brand is that their manufacturing policy might not be entirely ethical.
From my understanding of what I was told yesterday many of these fake jeans are actually made in China and sold in Malaysia and Thailand mainly.
-
Makes sense that the means are unethical. Still didn't understand why the denim sells. Kudos for going deep end there Mega. Sounds like a lot of the group members are understandably disenfranchised with how their Sammy discussion page morphed into a fake denim bazaar. Why don't the page administrators just lock those perps down?
-
It seems that the admins aren't very active, to be fair to many of the groups members they have asked the admins to take action.

Quick follow up piece to clarify a little of what I have learned about the piracy of denim, and what ordinary consumers can do to stop it…

The kaitaigarage Instagram Feed is so…. Weird...
Are those dudes really into Denim, or are they just random customers??? -
80-100 rm is still expensive for this shit. Dunno how much much these fellas earn in average, but 20€ for a piece of crap is pretty steep.
You can easily wear a good pair of light worn denim for 5-10 years (if in rotation and good care).
I have seen good offers around 100 usd from time to time.
Good advise by Gav with the buying and selling options in denim forums. -
They are 300RM…
-
I have made it my mission to screw their business over in any way I can.
-
I won't hesitate to call on the services of the Belgian Missile.
-
So they are making fake Iron Hearts… Where is the passion? Why don’t they just make something original...?
-
I've been advised to stay out of the mydenim group on Facebook as the gangster fakers have it in for me :o
