Denim Retirement (The AfterLife Of Denim)
-
When denim gets to a certain point we stop wearing it, this is called denim retirement. The question is what happens next?
Do you: frame them, burn them, have them put in a museum, sell them on eBay as “butlered”, donate to charity or other good causes, use for patches, chuck them in the attic and forget about them, or make them into something else, etc..?
This could be the ultimate thread for recycling, transforming, disposing of, and honoring retired denim.

There's only 1 pair of retired denim in my house and they are Tommy's. The debate of what to do with them is long and repeated…..

Keep them for Tommy's kids.

Keep them in the closet, frame them or send to Ruedi!

…or to me, please, if they're remotely my size (W 30 - 31) .....love nothing more than heavily worn out denim.

We planned to frame them and put them on his wall as they are basically rags, or pass them to Ruedie or maybe back to H or G to display…...but the boy steadfastly refuses to let us touch them. He's got some weird protective thing going on with them and does not want them moving.
