Gotcha that mashed sense that the calculator would try to stick it to me.

This morning our UPS account manager gave us an overview of their “UPS My Choice” service, which we hope will help many of you enormously. We understand completely how frustrating it is to miss a delivery, or stay home only to find the delivery has been delayed, etc. etc. But we’re told that many of these problems can now be resolved by giving you more control…
Launched within the US in 2011, many of our US customers may already have signed up for this (and if you already use it for UPS deliveries within the US we’d be delighted to get some feedback).
“My Choice” has now been rolled out to many other countries, including most of Europe. The UPS package recipient signs up online, which then gives him/her access to packages in transit. Some features are:
- you will receive text or email notification of estimated 1-hour delivery slot
- you can change timing of delivery if not suitable
- you can change address of delivery
- you can arrange pickup from convenient UPS customer centre (and many of these are open outside regular working hours)
- you can request package is held (for up to 10 days we believe) before delivery
The services do vary a bit from country to country, but we hope this will make life easier for many of you, please take a look and see what you think:
We’ve been told we can start using this straight away, and I believe it takes a few days for security verification, so those of you expecting to get something from us – or anyone – via UPS soon, please sign up now!
If you have any questions – especially about countries where this is not yet operational - drop me an email or PM.

^I've been using this service (and iPhone App) for a while and it works great.
-
Great, thanks for the feedback - your comment plus the comments on the Random Announcements thread are all very positive, so we'll be heavily promoting this to get our customers signed up! It's a pity a few countries are not served yet, but the places we ship to most frequently are definitely covered.

I've used this too,UPS e-mails when it ships & the expected delivery date, so far it's been pretty accurate.

finally managed to get me a working valid code, thanks UPS
and yeah that might be the case, didn't know they had different levels of comfort…
btw, not sure if I had posted this or not. Got a package from DPD sometime ago. Usual not my most fav courier, however, they have a new system where you can see the actual location of the truck on a map, how many stops till it is at your door and a 1 hour timeframe for the drop..
