Self Edge x Iron Heart = SEXIH22-301s

That fit is perfect

Weirdly enough, I saw one of my buddies the other day and he asked me about the bunching in the crotch with this cut. I have a sz36 and he has a sz33. They both have this issue. It doesn't go away. I've had mine for almost a year now. Maybe Kiya likes to hide snakes in his pants? Maybe it only affected us three?
FYI I've hot machine washed and dried three times. If you have room in the waist, I would try a hot machine wash.

1- you're not short

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I dropped by Self Edge today to model the denim (seeing it in real life is better than pictures), and the gang concluded that I could definitely size down one. So off to the market they go. If anyone's interested:

This issue is present in the 633 also
I thought it was only because I did a major size up, but I guess is across this whole release unfortunately

I still think they looked good on you, but if you want smaller than go for it. Keep in mind that this denim is some stubborn shit, make sure you have the room where you need it because stretch will be hard to get IMO.

TBH that bunching in the crotch just looks awful. IMO, of course.

In defense of the 301 cut, the guy at SENY help point out a lot of issues that were accentuating the excess room in my pics:
1) The denim was very stiff in the leg, effectively propping up the crotch area from the thighs. That would definitely improve as the denim settles.
2) The way in which I dried the denim after soaking (i.e. I didn't flat dry it front-to-back, rather on its side because I didn't want any creases to form at the inseam/outseam) made it so that the top block was oval-shaped when you look at it from above: crotch/butt were jutting out excessively (i.e. not touching my body) whereas the sides were flush against the sides of my thighs. That would also change as the denim settles.
3) Finally, I had a full inch of waist room post-soak - so the entire jean could have been smaller.Consequently, I think the 301 cut is great at Size 30 (I can't speak about the 33 or the 36 that UrbanWoodsman mentioned); I just need a smaller size. As soon as this one sells, I will be getting a Size 29 in the 301 cut for sure.

+1 on the bunching. I don't mind it anymore.

first day wearing mine, they went from ungodly stiff to comfortable in about a day. What does everyone think? should I recuff and raise them up, or keep them this length ?

Looks good to me.
