The Flat Head

Agreed on all counts. Thanks for the push on this one Ben.

I got a RJB shirt from the Que Pasa sale a couple months ago, it had some discoloring/fading down one sleeve… Finally got around to taking care of it with some indigo dye.
Before:
After:
Then after a machine wash:
It's hard to capture the true color, it's somewhere between these last two, but the texture on this shirt is great and you can just barely see the red and black "windowpane" pattern beneath the indigo. I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm excited to see what happens after some wear and washes.
-
That looks effing killer now! Hats off to you, that's a great job.
-
Great idea! Can't wait to see how it turns out after some wear.

Bought my wife the last 4001 from QuePasaShop for about $100. I was worried they wouldnt fit, but after a hemming I think they might be perfect. The high rise works well for since she is a bit curvy in a good way
-
I have a pair of Flat Head Balders if she likes her 4001s and they look like they are a great fit on her, she should try a pair…

Great fit and combo Ben. That pair is definitely on my denim want list.

I wanna see a fit pic with your Buco instead of those scrubby Vans Ben!

Flat head, stevenson, iron heart, flat head, bucos!

My man! Much appreciated. Looks killer with the engineers. Good call as well on not getting a hem job with a wide rollover by the way. It never looks right to me if the roll is larger than 10mm. Sounds like you might need to head up to SESF.

Thanks!
Yeah, when you're obsessive enough to go after a union special for a chain stitching, it doesn't make any sense to me to get the unattractive thick stitch. It looks terrible at first and gets even worse when it ages…
I've also noticed that it seems like no factory chai stitch is that thick!
