The Flat Head
-
Good to hear. Love mine but the trunk is awfully close. An excessive taper for my liking but it works.
-
Hey MC, I was hoping it would fit you. Now, there is a goal for you. FH sizing really drives me nuts.
-
@summ3rhays sorry about the extra girth, i'm sure you will get down to size in no time.
is that a 44 or a 46?
oh unrelated your jeans are lookin' good mang
Thanks @madmonday , I bought a 46. Thought I'd be ok based on the ptp. It's funny the 2nd button, or the top buttoned button is fine. It's the next two. Good motivation to watch what I eat I guess.

Here's from a while ago… Everything other than the glasses (Dita) is Flat Head
-
Love it. Great pic @grandmasterben
-
I have been looking at that diamond and dots wabash as well. What size did you get @summ3rhays?
-
It's a 46 and much slimmer in the midsection than an IH XL, @nizzel55
The fabric is amazing and hairy. I think the button thread is cotton as its already picking up some of the indigo.
-
Definitely 100% cotton construction. Metal or plastic buttons? Look plastic in this edition.
-
The buttons are plastic
-
^must be the newer Lot. My FH Wabash has metal Buttons that are painted in a creamy white.
@nizzel55 : I have a 44 that fits perfectly (the only FH Shirt I can say that of). If you're a L-XL in IH, the 44 will be good.
-
Yeah, I think the metal ones were only on the first generation D&D. I too have a 44 and wear L in IH and it's great aside from the tapered trunk, which is OK but less roomy than I'd prefer on a work shirt.
They make a fuller cut though.
-
Does anyone have an opinion one way or another regarding TFH's constructional quality compared to IH? From what I've seen and read so far, it seems pretty comparable. So as to which one people like more, appears to be a point of fit, weight, and extremely particular things.

The brands are completely different in their goals. Many of flat heads jeans use all cotton stitching, meaning in a way it's supposed to deteriorate.
I really like the look, but there are definitely more jeans out there that are "more durable." But more beautiful? I think you'd be hard pressed to find some examples…

Well said Ben and I couldn't agree more.
