I'm very close to pulling the trigger on some 1000 Miles, but I cannot decide on the color.
I'm borderline between the black and the rust/cordovan (or wine, I don't know what the actual color is called). I cannot seem to find good pictures of black anywhere, and I found some of the cordovan.
The cordovan is really lovely but I'm a bit unsure how much of my wardrobe I can match it with; need to see it with more indigo, dark blues and grays. The black will probably match some of my black or charcoal pieces well but for some weird reason (probably due to the lack of pictures) looks a bit worse than cordovan (and brown).
If anyone has solid pictures of the black, that would be great.
Thanks

Was going to pull the trigger on these also but the negative feedback around the heel has me concerned. As a UK resident I don't want the hassle of trying to send them back to the supplier to get issues resolved.
Has anyone got any more thoughts on these? What's the cheapest price you can find for some 1k (original) in the UK?

Where are you based?
They have them in american classics in London if you want to try them on so that you can order them more cheaply online.
The Wolverines can suffer from bad quality issues.
I bought mine from American Classics. They gave me the wrong size. Found this out when i got back to the office when i took them out to have another look at them. Also noticed that the leather on both boots was clearly defective (something you should not expected after spending £300). Took them straight back and the arsehole in the shop wasnt going to exchange them as 'i had worn them'. This was forty minutes after i had bought them. Fortunately the lady who served me walked in and swapped them over.
Once they exchanged them i was initially pleased with the replacement pair. They were pretty comfortable straight out of the box. However,I have nioticed that as time has passed, they are becoming increasingly uncomfortable. I wore them last week did about two hours walking throughout the day (nothing strenuous) and for some reason came away with hideous blisters.
Personally, now, i would not pay full price for them and would instead buy a pair of IH Foot Patrols (or the Jarrow Marcher from Aero Leather, but cant comment on their quality).

ive had mine for about 2 years and I love them, but I haven't put them through much stress, just the odd days out.
I think i ordered the 10 and 11 from dandy fellow cos at the time they were offering free del and returns, then i went ahead and got them from ebay from a guy in Canada, i was gutted to be hit by customs as he wouldn't mark the value down but still ended up £80 cheaper than over here

Can anyone help me and comment on sizing with Wolverine. I've got an eye on a pair of Duvall that are on sale online. I've never tried a pair so have no idea. I've tried on enough Red Wings to know I'm a 44 (ca. UK10), while in addidas (I'm a 3 stripe geek) I'm 45-46 (UK10,5-11). I now own and love the IH/Viberg Smoke jumpers in a UK10. They fit perfectly.
I guess what I'm asking is, size up/down/stay the same, as Red Wings or Vibergs?

Hey guys, just took delivery on these Wolvies in Pigskin LTD boot. Kind of a funky leather but I'm digging it. This is the leather that Horween provides to Wilson to make the official NFL game balls that Brady deflates. Hoping my Seahawks will crush it in the playoffs this year – I'll be wearing these during each game, rest assured.
A bit more on the leather from Horween:
"This specialized leather is treated with our own proprietary tannage and extracts, giving it the high performance characteristics demanded by professionals and amateurs alike. Our unique Tanned in Tack provides excellent grip in all conditions, and can be revived by simply brushing the ball.
Official Football leather is a very important leather to us. This leather was developed and produced by Arnold Horween Sr. after playing football professionally and head coaching the Harvard football team. We’ve produced football leather continuously for more than 70 years."
