Getting iron heart jeans taperd

…for some people this is
a greatthe best solution when their perfect fit is still to materialise.amen!

AMAZING!! What models out of interest?

Tinker with your jeans all you want. I had two cuts altered and wasn't satisfied with it afterwards. It might be a small alteration, but in the end you modify a thoughtfully constructed pair of jeans.
And Rafa: keep your immature comments to yourself will you. If my input isn't helpful, by all means, disregard my posts.

Name calling probably isn't the right thing to do, but I agree with Rafa as well. You should do whatever you want to your jeans. Everybody has a different body so there is no reason to assume that any one cut will fit you correctly or everybody in the same way (regardless of how well thought out the design is). For example, it looks like Rafa has huge thighs. Obviously there is risk involved, but to some people it's worth it. Let them worry about it.

^i wouldn't call'em huge though! @DrBabyhorse

didn't call any names so why so serious?
I don't think Rafa got laid last night…..
…unfortunately you're right! :-\

Like I said before, in my opinion, having jeans altered is second best to finding the perfect fit for your body.
Here are some pics of work done;
first pics; taper from knee down on inside leg seam to 25oz Sams (going to IH to be hemmed)
second pic: taper from knee down on selvedge seam
third pic: full leg taper, through crotch, along inside leg seam -
I had some RRL jeans done which were a straight leg. The top box and the thigh were great but I wanted a taper from the knee. I wouldn't have bothered, but I liked the denim and the rest of the fit was great.
As for IH, well I only have the one pair of 555 and am happy with them. The second round of 777 sound like they will be even better.

I'm looking for somebody in SoCal to taper my 25oz, using the inside seem. Looks like RFG won't do anything above 21oz. Might have to pony up some extra coin, but I want someone good. Any leads would be appreciated.

X Posted.
Props to Railcar Fine Goods for superb service, and even better alterations.

@Max:
I also feel like the leg opening gets too big in bigger sizes. Not a specific IH Problem, though.
I'll second this. I'm always jealous of guys a similar height like Giles that can wear the smaller sizes and have a more attractive shape to their jeans from knee to leg opening. (Though I'm doubly cursed with jeans because my ass and thighs are huge, so I can only fit in the loosest cuts if I want a waist that fits)
I suppose it's like pocket sizing- the pockets look perfect on those of us with the larger sizes, but look oversized for guys in the smallest sizes. I understand the logic of not wanting a less functional pocket, of course.

Not sure where you are from @Sreeni but The Denim Doctor Manchester UK tapers/alters 21 oz

Ciano works with some super heavy stuff. 30+ ounce. He might be able to help. He is very good about working doing stuff not listed on the menu. Might be worth a shot anyway.

Indigo Proof might do it. Worth asking, at least.

Rail Car Fine Goods. I sent all 3 of my IH jeans there to be tapered from knees down to hem. All 634 cut, 34-36 tag size which was perfect waist, raise and thigh cut, but the knee and hem were too big for my taste. RCFG did a fantastic job on all 3 of them. I sent them my 21oz overdyed, 21/23 anniversary and my 16.5oz LoomBreakers. I even asked for the excess material which they sent back to me

Now that RFG doesn't taper jeans 21oz or heavier, from whom do I get my 634-SR tapered? Any suggestions? thanks.
When did they stop?

I would like to know…I sent them my 21oz overdyed about...6 months ago, same time as the 21/23 anniversary. They did them no problem! Even the 16.5oz duck is a tough pair of jeans....did them no problem.
