Some detail pics of my Ships cap, just because i havent come across many on the net.
Excellent quality. Definitely the finest trucker cap i have come across. The mesh is smooth and comfortable and the hbt fabric has a nice amount of texture.
In the Papa's spirit of customisation I decided to take the plunge and remove the patch. This was relatively easy to do using the stitch unpicker that my wife has.
Upon removal there was a tiny amount of scarring where the patch had been stitched on, although it was barely noticeable.
Following the Papas general advice re soaking to help mould it, I soaked it in cold water for twenty mins. The final results are excellent. Soaking it definitely softened it up and also any scarring from removing the patch has completely disappeared, very pleased with the cap. I have a rather large bonce and find it difficult to get hats generally. Definitely tempted by a corsairs once they are back in stock.

Cheers chaps.
Should I get some in, not sure about these…..?
Based on my observations of the forum, there are a few people that have these but they don't seem to be as popular imo compared to the corsair. I do like it very much though and am very pleased with it.
You should definitely see if the papa can do some of the overdyed corsairs…..

If I wear a size 7 3/8 in MLB hats, should I get the M or L in Papa's hats?
Large. We're the same size and a large fits me well.

Just got my Catalina from Papa, great cap! The caution yellow under the brim is growing on me.
I was worried that the 60 cm. might be a little small, but Papa was right in that these run a little big.
And just an idea for Giles and Papa if they continue to work together in the future, maybe IH could take a batch of these and give them the overdye treatment? I'd be interested to see how they come out! -
