^^Very nice. The waxed laces look great

This is my first pair of boots and I really love them. The problem is, I think they might be a half size too big but, I am not sure as I am new to boots. I was wondering opinons? When laced up its not bad, no real heal slip and I am wearing thin socks. Below is a pic of of where my big toe ends…appreciate any feedback.

@seanocono I appreciate the input. That was with my heel as far back as it goes (if that makes any difference). Check the second picture that is with me standing and the boot laced. It feels pretty decent but, just not sure if a boot should fit more snug than what i have or not.

The second pic looks much better, but I think preference has a lot to do with it.
I've always worn my boots snug, out of necessity, so your room looks excessive.
It's entirely possible that I am wearing my boots "wrong," so please take my opinion with a handful of salt.
I'm sure others can provide more constructive opinions. I probably shouldn't have commented.

Better a tad too big - than too small
My (both pair) of Wescos are also a half size bigger than my 'usual size … still - the fit and the feeling is very comfy. (I walked hundreds of miles with them since months - absolutely no problems)
But - that's my own opinion / experience!

Thanks guys, yea now that I have them laced and on, not even sure I could have gone down a half size. They fit pretty good and with the shape of my foot i really only have about 1/4 size to play with, I reckon a 1/2 might be too much. They are a beautiful pair of boots and really happy with how they look.
Hope to add more in the future…looking forward to seeing the other colorways giles has instore.

We always recommend you have about a thumbs width in front of your big toe. With the Motor Patrol last (used on the Foot Patrol) your toes should never be all of the way to the front of your boot. The toe shape extends a little longer than our round toe shoe lasts would. If you have minimal to no heel lift, and they are secure on your feet when laced up (not slipping around while you walk) I would think you are just fine.
