Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
Possibly, H & I love it…..
I love it too. Stylish and utilitarian at the same time. I reckon a lined version would make it even more versatile. Duck w/blanket lining and classic 21oz w/polyester lining á la IHSH-105/6 would both be lovely. I guess the cut is roomy enough to support a lining without changing the size/pattern.

+1 I would be all over a blanket-lined duck version, brown or navy or even olive green (yeah yeah I know green is not popular with retailers but would still be super dope [emoji58])

Or black/grey duck would look dope too.
Though I don't think Giles has had much success with black duck in the past…?
-
Really? I drool over the black duck type III all the time.
Tell me about it. At least we have the Type III SBG coming next year…
I just get the impression that black items Iron Heart makes doesn't sell well. Looking at past threads, they always seem to be reduced in pricing towards the end of their lifetimes. Maybe I'm wrong, Giles?
-
Don't forget that IH makes A LOT of black stuff (just look at the current shirt section). The Cotton Duck Type III had concurrence by the Overdyed and Superblack Type III ( and the SE overdyed Type III).

No doubt a redo of the IHJ-24 in double duck indigo would be sick. Though I wouldn't instacop it, as I already have the denim version, so don't need two identical looking jackets in blue (or do I?).
Any other duck color + blanket lined is something I would get behind.
@Giles is being awfully quiet through all this…
Maybe because this talk should be in the "What should we make thread"?
-
nothing that has been suggested above convinces me we will sell a minimum of 60…
Totally get that. The potential success of a fabric/design combination seems difficult to judge. It remains hard for me to see why the denim didn't sell. I don't know what else IH have used this denim for but it's pretty sexy. Weave seems tight, colour is really nice. Mine is still wonderfully hairy even after its treatment from unknown stinky ebay owner, and the soaks and washes @Cutlasshound gave it. I'd be interested in other stuff made from it.
Maybe people didn't have any connection to it like they do to the 21oz or the UHR, for example? Seems most things made in the brown duck do well because people "know" the fabric, ditto the double indigo duck is popular. I still reckon a blanket/polyester lined version would whet the appetite of IH fandom.
For what it's worth I second @BULLITT BEE 's call to move this to "What should we make". @rocket Whaddya say?

That jacket pattern suits duck so well IMHO. I'd be tempted by a black/black or an OD for sure.

If a vest comes out that is just a bit more office friendly (the double duck is almost there for me), I'd buy it in every color possible… Kind of like the chinos.

Black wabash wasn't doing it? How about the IHV-09? It is a little old-mannish, might work.

Good point. Despite the breast pockets and rivets I think both the IHV-02-IND and BLK work as office wear. White shirt and tie and you're laughing.!

@TrickHell:
Scarves, umbrellas and jumpers.
Scarves for sure. Needs to be heavy or with a twist though…..

Gloves
BlanketGloves would be sick. Blankets even sicker. Still petitioning for sweatpants.

I was very very close to copping several times, but in the end it was a little too old manish for my taste.
