IHSH-99 - Overdyed 17oz Selvedge Denim Shirt/Jacket
-
Has an ETA been stated on Xl and XXL? Thanks!
-
@Jdub Self Edge has a few XL's left if you're not wanting to wait.

Thanks. Decisions decisions.:) Would be my first "new" purchase. Shirt is so sweet.
-
Highly recommend it. Quite possibly my favorite Iron Heart shirt in my collection.
-
Like others, torn between a little jacket like room and going up to a XXl. A chore coat with this combo would be epic.
-
I think it looks great either way. I went with the shirt route and bought my normal size. Fit is spot on and goes really well on its own or with a jacket over the top. For 17oz denim it isn't actually all that hot when worn indoors in heated rooms and I wear it buttoned all the way up. Either way you go I think this is a must have…. Especially coming into the fall.
-
Thanks:) Yeah, think I'll wait for a XXl. So not used to these Japanese sizes. I'm 6' at 175lb. Seems to me the the XL more or less fits like a lg.
-
Jdub - I'm 6'2 and 180lbs and I definitely needed an XXL, I think you'll be similar.
So I spilled some toothpaste with a whitening agent on my shirt and it's made a bit of a stain I can't seem to kick after one wash.
Any advice?
I personally use a dab of Woolite Darks… makes my toothpaste stains go away very quickly and easily. So... detergent + water (temperature didn't matter for me, but I used warm).
I tried using other shit... not as effective in my PERSONAL experience.

@Jdub @Aries
I am 187cm (6' 1.6"), 80kg (176lbs)
and got the 76 in a Large. (check 76 thread for pictures if interested)
I would go for this one in XL if I would get it.I guess it depends on if you are going to use it as a jacket or a shirt.
I use mine (the IHSH76) as a shirt, with a t-shirt underneath it.

Did you size up, or go TTS?
-
Yep. Shacket for me. My typical IH shirt size would be an XL.
I actually went up two sizes to XXXL. I think i said it before, check the measurements carefully and compare them to garments you already own.The detailed and accurate measurements are one of the strengths or advantages of buying from IH.
If i remember correctly giles also mentioned that the OD process also shirinks the original shirt effectivly by a whole size.

@TrickHell:
I got a L, which is typically my IH jacket size. I don't really wish I'd gone bigger, but it's definitely a shirt and not a shacket. I can't even wear the IHSH-59 under it.
I love the thing as a shirt. But for those who want a jacket, think big.
Do you have much freedom of movement? Can you punch and clinch someone and elbow them in the face?
-
Agree with all that posted. I'm a L in IH flannels and took an XL in this and it fits almost identically

@NorthernVictory I have a good amount of freedom of movement and I did not size up.

Bunch of salesman up in here, love it:) Thanks a bunch fellas. Really helpful. Shacket at 175lb 6' appears to be be close to XXL. 3 month lead is a bummer. Thanks for the update Giles!
Edit: XXXL vs XXL appears trivial in measurements…hmmm:)

@jdub I'm 6 foot and 215lbs and I wear the XL

Thanks. Think I'll stay with the 2X; XL just looked a little snug on Giles at 6.2 180lbs. Really need to focus my efforts on this crazy flannel dissemination that is nearly upon us:)
