This post has been long overdue from me. I need to get something off my chest. I have been on the forum now since 1/30/11. I guess you may say I am a seasoned veteran at this point. What I have to say I'm sure will aggravate a lot of members, mods and admins but, i cannot hold this in any longer. This forum was such a special place for so many of us. It is dying; we need to fix it before it is too late. The forum no longer has a personality, their is no longer any passion, it just goes through the motions. I cannot and will not accept it any longer. I understand things change but this place has changed significantly for the worse. Forum members are like lemmings just walking off a cliff, following the one in front of them. Nobody has a mind of their own. It's saddening to me. News flash every fit, every outfit does not look good. Certain people look better is certain cuts and certain shirt styles than others. Constructive criticism is good thing people. Every shirt, every jacket is not an epic piece. Members you do not have to like things because others do. Thinking different is a positive thing, having opinions is a positive thing. Be respectful!!!! I remember when I was a newb i would have never disrespected the OG's like Monday, Peterock, Landon, Beatle, Zhivago, Katsushin, Geo etc… I looked up to these people and listened to what they had to say. They deserved respect!!!
I asked to be a moderator about a year ago beacuse I thought that I would be able to help bring this place back to were it once was. I resigned 2 weeks ago because I failed miserably at it. The forum didn't improve it just proceeded to get worse during my tenor. I no longer connect with anyone on here accept for a handful of people unfortunately.
I am not trying to insight G and P. I love them!!! They deserve for this place to be fun again. I am challenging every member and every moderator to step up your game because we are all doing a shit job. This place needs to get its mojo back.
I am sure this post will upset a lot of people this is not my intension but, I refuse to go down without a fight. I am begging the mods to not delete this post it needs to be seen. I am not trying to rise against you, please rememeber I was once one of you. I only want this place to be fun again. I have spent way to much time on here and spent way too much money on Iron Heart to not give it one more final push.
I know all of you that have been here for a long time, feel the same way!
I challenge all of you to try and help make this place fun again. Be creative, think different!

Yous a romantic D666, all things change & with the more perspective we have it's hard to catch that lightening in a bottle from a few years back. I've seen a few folks come & go for various reasons, but I understand it's the nature of all things. The IHUK forum has plenty of great members who post on a consistent basis that have distinct personalities (imho) & you have to admit things will never be "the same". The days of dudes coming on the forum giving away goods just because they actually like other forum members or sharing mundane parts of their lives cause it's a bunch of folks though thousands of miles apart can actually relate to your everyday plight is kind of over.
G said it best, "If you don't like it, don't post. Simple as that". I've come to the point where I take heed to that statement.

OK here goes,,hats off to Derivative666 for voicing a heartfelt opinion.I am with him every step of the way,,this forum has lost its edge/sparkle/vavavoom for sometime.Dont be scared of saying that shirt looks off,,or them jeans dont really suit yer bodyframe,,as long as the words are constructed carefully.
Been a member here for who knows how long,,on and off,,and I stopped posting,,simply beacause the edge had/has gone.Good friends on here,,good banter,,get it back to where it was,,cant always look back ,,, -
I have no problems with your views whatsoever D666. I do not admit defeat, but I do accept that things change as time goes by. Does that mean I don't hanker for the old days, no of course it does not. But I/we have tried a few things and they have not worked.
I've said this loads of times, this is a community, I can't change it on my own, it needs input from all.
What I have never said before (because I did not feel it necessary) is that I have always seen myself and the mod squad as facilitators, it to a great extent is what each and every member puts in that makes the place.
Just deciding not to post because the place has changed is a cop out. You get out of things what you put in.

FWIW the "if you don't like it don't post" ethos has what has prevented me from becoming a more active member. I absolutely love the gear but to me at least half it looks pretty bad most of the time on here. If I hadn't been called out countless times on my home turf (fuk) over the last decade then I think it's pretty safe to say I would be worse off for it and would be squeezing into stuff a size too small for me and generally getting it wrong (still will be to some but that's life).

I think you misinterpreted what I meant by that. Personally I embrace constructive criticism, I was not trying to say "if you do not like someones look/gear/outfit shut the fuck up". I WAS trying to say, if you do not like this place, then don't come in here and bitch, go somewhere else….

I haven't been a regular on here that long but there is a feel of everyone tip toeing around not wanting to offend anyone. Or maybe people feel if they speak out they feel they are somehow offending Giles/Ironheart through saying a piece of clothing looks shit on someone.
The WAYWT thread is great on one hand because loads of people contribute, but on the other bad because there is hardly any input into peoples choice of outfit. All you get is the standard "everyone looking good today". Fuck that! not everyone looks good. Anyone can dress head to toe in decent gear but that doesn't mean it looks good.
