Kakishibu, not wax. And, it's definitely a tad bit short after drying, but I flipped the cuffs 1x also because I'd rather it look purposely short, lol. It looks better when I'm actually wearing it, but I just threw it on over a lazy, ill-fitted and badly cut Left Field t-shirt.
And, the pants are a great pair of IH816.

what does "Kakishibu" do?
If you comfortable with her rock out, @UnTucked personal style is always a great thing.
Let me see a fit when you all done up if you don't mind, I would like to like it

It's a natural pigment dye.
Japanese have used it for centuries for dying and water-proofing. I could try to explain, but I'll just post a link to a more knowledgeable persons words, lol

ahhhhhh,
thank you, thank you

No problem! It's one of the denim "IT" things to do now for the past few years. Kapital uses it quite often, and it surely adds a "different" look to rather simple items. I have a tanXtan denim shirt with tiger eye snaps than I'm working on right now… Hope it turns out great!

Not to muck up a MF thread, here is the Kapital kakishibu denim
I like the overall look, especially what's going on with the pockets. Looks like it has been loved for years.

I just ordered the CDO jacket last might as a lighter option to my MidNight Pea coat.
Christophe does such a good job of breaking in pieces and photographing them, I couldn't resist.
Brand new, it doesn't look like much at all, but the wear in pictures are so freaking gorgeous!

Psyched for you, that CDO definitely caught my eye, how did you size it? Can't wait to see some fit pics.

I grabbed my usual medium. I'm hoping for "slightly big", so I can hot soak it to "slightly small"….. I suspect wool will be fairly stretchy over a full winter of wear.
SN: I'm fully addicted to MFSC jackets/coats. They're the perfect combination of utility, style, simplicity and timelessness.

You and me both! Skipper, Watchman, Paletot Diable, Drover, Shoreman, Campus (ok, not SC) in the closet and I still want a Loco.
