thanks @Jordan23 , you grab the Maroon Jordan VIs that released this weekend?
Looks good MM. How's this compare to your RMC AL-1? (I'll admit the comparison is a little apples to oranges but I'm still curious)
the best I can put it is they are both technical wonders from different eras. any specific questions I'm always happy to oblige as I'm into that kind of stuff. my only problem with the rmc is I sized too big so the sleeves are long as heck & the body looks a little sloppy on me

[\quote]No but i ve owned both Original Colourways from the 90.;) …though the white is broken now.

I have now been wearing this jacket every day for the past week and can confirm that this jacket is the business. Feeling mighty confident that this solid piece of clothing will keep the harshest of winters away from my frail body. Now I just need a pair of overalls made in the same fabric and I'll be ready for nuclear winter.
@Giles: I have a vague memory of a camouflaged jacket coming out this/next year. Was that the IHJ-39 supposed to have been available in both black and camo? Not that I would have chosen the camo, just curious.

I have now been wearing this jacket every day for the past week …
wait what? ??? …where the fuck is the fecking fit pic mate? @BULLITT BEE
-
@BULLITT BEE - May have just been H experimenting….
-
@Finn666 , sorry dude, busy week! But just for you, I'll get a fit pic up ASAP.
Thanks for the info Giles.

I told you this thing was hot…....Email from a customer this morning......
"I recently bought the IHJ-39 and really love it! but… it's just too warm for our actual weather in St.Gallen (Switzerland). Well, it definitely get's colder soon. Anyway, thats a good reason for the IHJ-38."

sh!tty image but you know
Nice fit there, SE have them now, very tempting.
Btw, what boots are those? Like them.

I've sent this jacket off to the bitter cold of the Canadian Yukon to get outfitted for a fur parka ruff. Since temps where I live range from 35 to -25 C, I wanted the ruff to be removable and the jacket to remain fully waterproof. Initially I discussed snaps, but we settled on strong magnets for the ruff attachment. I won't have the jacket for a couple of weeks, but I will post pics when I do.
I'm having two ruffs made: Wolverine and Yukon Black Wolf

Is this extinct or what? Don't see any sizes in stock. Strong feel of "need".
-
Very extinct.
In fact this is an example of the Huia Louse principle….
There is (was) a species of North American fish that suffered the same fate (courtesy The Park Rangers) - I've forgotten it's name......
Okay, that's what I thought. And I can safely suppose that none of the european retailers have these?
Edit: reading through thread shows that is a nope.
-
I know Self Edge still has them.
Been wanting to get one but I know I wouldn't get to wear it that much down here…Yeas, seems to be the only place. No problem though!

Update - here's my IHJ-39 with the white wolf ruff that I'm going with. This is top ruff on the left side of the pic. Originally I wanted the black wolf ruff bottom ruff of the four, but with the long black guard hairs it was (more) massive on the coat. It is almost comically high with the hood up. The first prototype used some small magnets and the vendor has ordered larger magnets for the final product. I'll keep in mind Sabergirl's alert about magnet sensitivities when the coat gets into my hands.
