Well, perhaps there is someone in the forum who could give you more tecnical informations…
In my opinion Oni has reached the same objectives that IH nailed with its 21oz flagship denim, but following opposite paths.
"Secret denim" is an heavy (20oz) low tension very slubby fabric. The result is that the jeans are comfortable, pliable and fresh. The only others with the same characteristics that come to my mind are my classic 634s, made with a lightyears distant denim.
Two different strategies, IH the "consistency", Oni the "rawness". IH uses very long cotton fibers and specific treatments, Oni uses low tension and, perhaps, something else that I cannot identify.Here you can see the extreme hairiness of this tissue, a kind of "sweater denim", if I can say so.
