LOL @ hiding it. Fit looks good. Colour not for me though

I got so many block check flannels by now that it's easy to claim I got it for years.

"What, this old thing? Yeah, I decided to dig it out and give it another outing… no point having stuff and not using it..."
Nice move @Cole . Good luck with the jacket tonight. Maybe take em both off at once and pretend its the lining?

Maybe if she was more invested in your life, you wouldn't have had to time to make the purchase. Turn this on her. Tell her that it's her fault you bought it and you were just lashing out and this is the only way you can get the soft, warm embrace that she isn't giving you. Your needs are important too. She's a bad person.

Ah I see, you suggest the death defying suicidal aproach, @cadence .
I might try Giles approach and tell her it is just the replacement and that she knew it was coming since I whined about sending the original one back earlyer last year.
Yeah, balls of steel and an easy mark of a wife to try that one. I know there's a thread for this, but to avoid any further discussions my wife and I have agreed on a clothing budget for me. What she thinks the budget is, and what it actually is aren't the same thing. But it's working so far, no arguments at all so far… ahem ....this year.

Maybe question her colour vision? Tell her it's definitely green and she needs to see a doctor quick if she's seeing turquoise?
And then come back into the room in the green. Repeat a few times. That'll sort it.

I like that this turned into a discussion of how to gaslight Cole's wife. Iron Heart brings out the best in people!
